It isnt, but unless you sink the price of a new car into an EV-conversion kit, the only options are older gas cars.

Other than writing your Congress-people (lol) or donating to non-profits that support Right to repair I have nothing at the moment. In my (limited) experience it seems that most cars built after 2010 have some sort of “only the dealership” type thing built in, so at the moment its kind of just “buying used”. Ive been considering getting an early model Prius when my car goes (pre 2015) but, depending on how the rest of this presidency plays out I may not even be in the country.

As a right to repair advocate, the fact you had to take it to the dealer is a turn off for me. I’ll be driving my 03 shit box til it dies or I move to a country with good public infrastructure

Not talking about replacing the battery, I’m talking about every part having an encrypted module that only the dealership has the key to, meaning only the dealership can replace the part.

Except they made sure you couldn’t repair it so You’ll end up dropping that 50k once every 5-10 years anyway 🤪
(Im pro-EV btw. just wish EVs were pro-me)

Even before I was full on anti-capitalist I was anti-disney. Ive always hated just how… artificial that company has felt. They can make good movies dont get me wrong, but their culture, the people who are fans, scare me.
So in conclusion I will never have this opportunity. I did write a nice email to Mr.Bezos after canceling prime though.

I’m not saying it isnt, I just think its funny that these people think theyre somehow following the teachings of Jesus by being bigots when the original Bible (supposedly) says nothing of the sort.

Could be fake disinformation but someone once told me that the “man lie with another man” is a mistranslation from the king James ver. and the original was that man should not lie with a child. I never fact checked it full disclosure

Theres a couple good videos that talk about the decline of NASCAR by EmpLemon www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RjAWFDL3fA www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxTAJNifDAI
From what I remember, it boils down to the fact they added regulations to make the races safer, which also made them more boring as there were less crashes, less speed, and overall less danger.

so instead of taking the olive branch and saying “oh I guess my approach to this issue is going to make more people turn away my argument and I should change how I phrase it” what you took away from my comment was “its everyone elses fault and not mine that no one is listening to me”… lol. listen Gru, were not your minions.

I understand why you said this but you did not need to act like you have some higher moral standard because of it. Some people want to play video games without having to even THINK about the possibility of a game asking you to tweak a config to get the optimal experience, especially if youre a linux gamer. There are no options for people who want a console without a walled garden. Your closest shot is the Steam Deck, but the steam deck is shot in the knee by every company who uses an anti-cheat.
Before you say they just shouldnt play those games, consider the fact that some people aren’t willing to give up things they already have for Something new and unfamiliar they have to spent months to learn and years to master.
