Most boomers I known would happily send you a docx to sign digitally. So I have to open word to save their crap to PDF to open it in Acrobat to sign it and send it back. They probably wouldnt even notice if I changed the terms in the meantime.

Honestly though, theres nothing more holy than sponsors in sports, so they probably asked them for permission prior to this message beeing displayed. The fact that they were okay with a message that pisses off a good portion of their customers speaks for them.

The CDU never invested in the necessary maintenance, so from 2022 to 2025, SPD, Grüne and FDP had to push through funding all the necessary repairs and modernizations at once, crippling the whole network for the next 10-20 years. Part of it is beeing modernized while the rest now has a higher demand than what its capable of. Since the network is already very tightly packed, one small incident can cause a domino effect of trains beeing late throughout Germany.

Instagram puts way more than 30% on their ads when purchasing through iOS
If you buy 100€ of ad budget, they want you to pay an additional 42.5% apple service fee and additional taxes here in Germany.
If I do it through their ad center suddenly the taxes are already included in the budget so if I pay 100€ I get 100€. So in the end, Meta charges iOS users an additional 70% vs what they usually charge.

I remember a few years ago, when a ton of MAGA people fell for it and payed just to brag that they are in the top 90% of the most intelligent people, not realizing that this means they are in the bottom 10%.

The problem is that many specific communities are transitioning from reddit to discord. It would be cool to have some kind of matrix integration with Lemmy accounts/communities and vice versa.

The difference is that companys wont do it by themselves. Each country will have to do their own legislation to mandate this. Even if Europe would do similiar legislation to Vietnam, YouTube would still show full ads in other countries because they make them more money.
Which is quite the difference to hardware mandates like USB-C, where few countries can basically set it as mandatory and the manufacturers will roll it out for all countries because its easier and cheaper to manufacture one model than multiple different versions.

Theres a major difference though. It is much more costly and complicated to manufacture different hardware for different countries (especially with the eco system of peripherals behind it) then it is to change software for different countries.
Its easy for YouTube or Facebook to set all ads for Vietnam to skippable while maintaining unskippable ads for other countries to maximize profits.

It’s definitly Sora 2 generated. If you compare these two frames you can see that the reflection of the Crime Watch Update changes position in the reflected part while still beeing at the same position on the screen.
Also the fall in the end looks physically wrong. Thats where Sora 2 always falls apart, it doesn’t have a real sense of gravity towards the end. If you look at all the fake crash videos, they always look fake towards the end. Same thing applies here.
