- Comment on Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed 1 week ago:
The price increase is absurd. I cancelled too, because while I do play quite a bit, this level of corporate greed is completely unjustifiable to me. If rather watch playthroughs of new games on Twitch or YouTube and then buy them a year later on sale than pay this bloody much, eff that.
- Comment on General strike in Greece over 13-hour workday plans 1 week ago:
It’s clear that this proposal was made by people who never properly worked a day in their life - otherwise they’d know how exhausting 8 hours already is…
- Comment on General strike in Greece over 13-hour workday plans 1 week ago:
Rich assholes really want to bring back slavery through baby steps, don’t they? 13-hour workdays? What’s next, chaining people to their workstations to make sure they don’t slack off? Whippings as punishment for not meeting KPIs? It’s beyond ridiculous, I’m glad people are striking!
- Comment on OpenAI takes on Google, Amazon with new agentic shopping system | TechCrunch 1 week ago:
Are you using a time machibe to access Amazon in the past? Because for me the experience looks more like this:
- I type in “amazon.com” in my browser
- I use the search bar and get a bunch of sponsored results that are not what I was searching for at all and all use the same garbage photoshopped photos
- I scroll through pages upon pages of irrelevant dropshipped garbage offered by companies like JHUVOY, BRILGOVA and other random letters.
- I finally find something that looks like it’s not a cheap knockoff
- I add it to my shopping cart and click through offers for Amazon prime and offers for dropshipped garbage that I might want to add to my cart.
- I proceed to payment
Sigh, I really miss the old internet, I truly do…
- Comment on Microsoft blocks Israel’s use of its technology in mass surveillance of Palestinians 1 week ago:
Because there are so few Palestinians left alive that they can be surveyed using binoculars, pen and paper now? Sure, it’s great they stopped, but they sure took they sweet time…
- Comment on In Venezuela, Trump Is Engaged in Plain and Simple Murder 3 weeks ago:
When you let people get away with metaphorical murder again and again, they tend to move to literal one - why wouldn't they, if there are no consequences?
- Comment on Four arrested after photo of Trump and Jeffrey Epstein projected onto Windsor Castle 3 weeks ago:
"Malicious communications"? A heinous crime indeed! So when is Trump getting arrested for it, together with most if not all politicians?
- Comment on YouTube Is Pausing Premium Family Plans if You Aren't Watching From the Same Address 5 weeks ago:
What's next, account suspension and 15 lashes every time you tell someone about a video you watched on youtube without paying Google?
- Comment on Microsoft Word will save your files to the cloud by default 5 weeks ago:
"Your" files? No no no, rookie mistake. You see, you might think that just because you created them they are YOUR files, but since you were them using Microsoft's software, on Microsoft's OS, they are actually Microsoft's files that they graciously license to you for limited use! Should have read all those EULAS, eh?
... I don't even friggin' know if I should put an /s at the end - the current tech dystopia it can actually be true.
- Comment on AI Killed My Job: Translators 1 month ago:
I'm a simultaneous interpreter, and it's a bloodbath out there. Partially because anyone who needs a translator or an interpreter by default is unable to verify the accuracy of the translation/interpretation - they can only tell if it's smooth, believable, and such. And, AIs are great at being believable even when they make shit up...
- Comment on After Disastrous GPT-5, Sam Altman Pivots to Hyping Up GPT-6 1 month ago:
Just a few trillion dollars more bro, I swear bro, I'll make it SO good and profitable bro! Just need a few more trillions, honest! And maybe, like, no more than 70% of all water and electricity in the world diverted to the data centers bro, no more than that! Imagine how awesome it'll be bro, come on, this time it'll work for sure!
- Comment on Microsoft breaks Windows reset and recovery 1 month ago:
It's completely insane to me that businesses deal with it without suing their butts off. I can understand individual customers, they tend to be docile, but how did all this not cost massive losses to a litigious company yet?
- Comment on Microsoft breaks Windows reset and recovery 1 month ago:
...and it shows. God damn it shows, almost every week it seems, with yet another fuckup.
- Comment on Microsoft breaks Windows reset and recovery 1 month ago:
Amen to that.
I settled on Manjaro for now because it's super nice and easy to use - I heard it had some issues with updates on the past, but for the last year or so it's been really nice for me, so I'll wait until the first screwup before distro-hopping somewhere else :)
- Comment on Microsoft breaks Windows reset and recovery 1 month ago:
Jesus fucking Christ, is Windows just 100% vibe coded now? How do those fuckups keep happening? It's honestly unbelievable...
I'm so glad I decided to move away from it - I still have no idea what I'm doing in Linux, but then again I never had a lot of idea about what I'm doing in Windows either, so it's all good :)
- Comment on This CEO laid off nearly 80% of his staff because they refused to adopt AI fast enough. 2 years later, he says he’d do it again 1 month ago:
Haha, that's neat! Morbid, but neat - I'll have to remember it, thanks! :)
- Comment on This CEO laid off nearly 80% of his staff because they refused to adopt AI fast enough. 2 years later, he says he’d do it again 1 month ago:
True and completely right, but I lack the vocabulary to replace it with something more accurate and still evocative enough :)
- Comment on This CEO laid off nearly 80% of his staff because they refused to adopt AI fast enough. 2 years later, he says he’d do it again 1 month ago:
You have to use AI! For what? I dunno, figure it out or you're fired! <- a genius businessman, apparently...
This blind lemming-like rush towards AI that so many CEOs seem to suffer from seriously resembles cult behavior or severe drug addiction, my god...
- Comment on Meet the AI vegans: They are choosing to abstain from using artificial intelligence for environmental, ethical and personal reasons. Maybe they have a point 2 months ago:
That's because the author seems to be a journalism vegan, writing vegan and self-awareness vegan.
- Comment on ‘We didn’t vote for ChatGPT’: Swedish Prime Minister under fire for using AI 2 months ago:
I would genuinely have more trust in a politician consulting I Ching than ChatGPT - at least the book of changes requires some thinking and interpretation, fucking hell...
Sigh, all the tech-bros that convinced the general public that AI are in any way intelligent or that they can think, reason or understand concepts like truth/lies or right/wrong should go on trial for crimes against humanity...
- Comment on UK households could face VPN 'ban' after use skyrockets following Online Safety Bill 2 months ago:
Come on UK, just skip all the boring parts and make unremovable collars for everyone fitted with GPS, cameras and miniature bombs that can be remotely detonated. After all, that's the only way to make sure nobody is doing bad, very bad illegal stuff and to PROTECT THE CHILDREN, isn't it? Fucking hell, these fucks really are trying to create a bloody dystopia...

Goddamned shameless ghoul, holy fucking shit. We're really in full-on Idiocracy mode, only these morons feel like they have to mention AI in every single sentence instead of Carl's Jr...
- Comment on 'Death Stranding 2' proves more video games need to get weird, experts say 3 months ago:
Amen to that: I want to play games made by people who like games, by people who play games, and by people who want to make games. Not by MBA suits who like money and just want to make more money...
- Comment on Microsoft pushes staff to use internal AI tools more, and may consider this in reviews. 'Using AI is no longer optional.' 3 months ago:
How very corporate of them: people don't want to do something? Screw finding out why, let's make it mandatory and poof, problem solved!

I hope so, I genuinely do.
- Comment on Operation Narnia: Iran’s nuclear scientists reportedly killed simultaneously using special weapon 3 months ago:
It's absolutely not okay, but since there will be no negative consequences for it whatsoever, it's the new normal. This is sadly what happens when laws are not enforced, and I'm not sure if anything even can be done anymore...
