Both of those things have a really small impact, to the point that it doesn’t matter. Generating one picture using AI takes like 30 seconds of your GPU running at full power. Besides, I don’t think that’s a fair comparison in the first place. Pighair brushes are not the main animal product people consume and generating something using AI models isn’t what’s using the majority of the energy but training the models is. The metric that’s actually important is what both industries as a whole are contributing to climate change, otherwise we can just keep picking examples that prove the other one wrong.

I mean, the impact AI has on the climate is nothing compared to the animal product industry

I hope we all realize that this is clearly satire or some weird way to make “woke” people seem stupid, right? 😭

Is she allergic to it because of the lactose? We can already make vegan cheese that’s the exact same as real cheese (literally, I don’t mean it just tastes the same) except that it doesn’t contain lactose. There’s a company in Europe that’s ready to mass produce it but the EU is taking their time with giving them the permit to sell it. I don’t know how the situation is where you live.

When you go to the domain of your instance (lemmy.world), you get the official Lemmy UI hosted in their servers. Other people can make their own UIs tho and host it on their servers or let you download them as apps. One alternative UI that you can use in a browser is phtn.app.

Only sometimes as a joke. It’s mostly used in online memes. Even though, saying things often enough ironically makes you start to use it unironically. From my experience, that’s happening with rizz. I’m from Germany and even we’re starting to use rizz. It’s kind of right between being used jokingly and just being used like a normal word. I also saw people in this thread saying that kids are saying it all the time but I think that’s normal. When me and my friends were kids we used to say repeat memes like that all the time too.
