- Comment on Study: Hopeful homebuyers need income of nearly $117,000 to afford typical home in U.S. 2 weeks ago:
As a homeowner - I 100% agree with this.
I absolutely hate that I paid as much as I did simply because the generation before mine decided to turn the whole concept of home ownership into a financial investment vehicle.
I hate how it changes the thought processes around the decisions I make in regards to my home.
I hate how it impacts the relationships with my neighbors and how it morphs the very conversations we have. That it has drastically changed the type of people who would otherwise have wanted to live in the community and be a part of it instead of just trying to ride the wave investment dollars.
I hate that it means my own children, once grown, will likely be unable to afford to live in this neighborhood - even if they rent. And I hate that it’s going to become their problem too.

Aesthetics - #5 is the obvious choice Handling/ grip comfort - #5 wins again Scooping/horizontal food retention - #5 with its slight bowl-shaped head Tine shape - #2 wins out for sheer uniformity

- Comment on I feel like if asbestos was banned today there'd be a huge pro-asbestos movement 4 weeks ago:
Correct. If anything, we’ve been too conservative with the word in the past decade or so. They’re openly talking about shipping off undesirables to gulags, but we’re supposed to tone down our rhetoric and not call them fascists.

It’s funny because I 100% agree with you both.

I fully acknowledge your point and don’t disagree. On the other hand, who ever said we have to treat Nazis reasonably?

I read this article and I know it’s written in English, but I’ve accepted defeat in trying to understand it.
I write code for a living and I’m doing my best to ignore the feelings of inadequacy I’m currently experiencing.
- Comment on Tesla sales crash continues in Europe, with Germany down 70% 2 months ago:
This is what makes Musk’s B-line towards Nazi stardom so strange to me. Like, did he think Nazis were suddenly going to start buying electric cars? They literally put nuts on their trucks right next to their bumper stickers using homosexual slurs to describe electric vehicles, all while “rolling coal” in front of every Tesla they see on the road.
These are the people you want to market to?
And at the expense of your existing market? - Comment on Tesla sales crash continues in Europe, with Germany down 70% 2 months ago:

Trump media stock was fun to watch too up until he won. I mean it’s still going to crash and burn, but the election bought him some time.
- Comment on YSK in the U.S., you can buy produce directly from black farmers and they will ship it to you. It can cost less than your supermarket and will piss off people in power. 3 months ago:
I second this - though I agree that it definitely isn’t universal. Especially given that I’m exactly the opposite - I welcome critique and improvements to anything I write because I love learning and improving.
