- Comment on Samsung mocks Apple’s crushing iPad Pro ad with its own ‘UnCrush’ pitch 1 month ago:
I mean there’s a large sentiment that goes back to antiquity that technology is here to crush the working/creative man. I think people felt it was too on the nose that a tech company worth trillions was making a commercial that reminds them of that so directly. especially in today’s day and age where people feel like certain industries are on the cusp of being completely wiped out by LLMs and stuff.

- Comment on North Korea is evading sanctions by animating Max and Amazon shows 2 months ago:
sanctions on NK goes from hard to soft im waves over the years. arguably the heaviest sanctions were imposed from nuclear tests they conducted in like the 2000s. not sure where sanctions on animation came into place, but they very well could’ve been allowed at one point when tensions weren’t as high.

alrighty so torx screws are just shit in most cases you encounter them
- Comment on Whoops 2 months ago:
honestly torx is still garbage. the tiny ones on the bottom of tech products that get cemented in still strip like nobody’s business.
- Comment on Taylor Swift among 141 new billionaires in ‘amazing year for rich people’ 2 months ago:
saying “not that I’m defending a billionaire” while defending a billion doesn’t make you not defend them. she didn’t just donate very very little. she donates almost nothing of her wealth every time regardless of whether it’s a single person or the whole cause. she donates enough to make the news and no more.
- Comment on Taylor Swift among 141 new billionaires in ‘amazing year for rich people’ 2 months ago:
you think she became a billionaire with just her music? her entire person is a corporation these days. there are many stakeholders that are not Taylor Swift with money in this game. every billionaire worked for it. the asshole part isn’t that they didn’t work for their money; it’s the fact they hoard this wealth without legitimate, worthwhile return to general society aside from they taxes they actively avoid paying.

you didn’t say that but that’s what you meant
- Comment on Google’s CEO faces employee questions about layoffs — “Why has there been such an extraordinary effort to limit the internal visibility of layoffs announcements?” 4 months ago:
your unions are ass then if you see them that way. but you also don’t bring up any of the useful things unions probably did for you behind the scenes. provide legal protection? contract negotiations? COLLECTIVE BARGAINING? hello?
- Comment on Google’s CEO faces employee questions about layoffs — “Why has there been such an extraordinary effort to limit the internal visibility of layoffs announcements?” 4 months ago:
he’s not saying there aren’t any companies that do right to their employees at this current moment. he’s saying if left unchecked, it leaves room for somebody to come in and make it bad for everyone. that being said, we’ve already failed. we need union.
- Comment on Americans are asleep, post European windows 4 months ago:
I mean it exists for sure, but not something people expect when moving in places. usually correlates to the cost and age. decibels wise, it’s not too different than Europe imo. I live in France and mother fuckers be yelling from their windows all day. I also lived in Germany and the walls are thick as shit, but mother fuckers have their windows open all day and yodelling. if you live near people, you’ll hear them some way or another. renting in the US is also much simpler. fuck Germany’s renting culture shit.
