Just for the record, I didn’t downvote you. I think that would be unkind.
And I hope you can forgive my joke; you’d be surprised how little the average European knows about the history of Iran.

Everyone knows
Yes, everyone knows that if Gudenni, the Prince of Hadenach had just married Essane, the Princess of Hawali, all the bloodshed could have been avoided. Instead, they formed the Caliphate of Ultigo and their iron-fisted rule led to the siege of Khobenar, which left their kingdom in ruins.
Or maybe you overestimate everyone’s knowledge. 😉

Eh, I liked Far Cry 3’s poker minigame better. Or, from memory, RDR1.
Yes, the atmosphere is great. But te stacks are just so low, players give little action, and the overall game flow is glacial in RDR2.

Whoa, whoa. How dare this uppity woman talk like that to Dr. Bradley D. D. Wentworth, PhD., an internationally renowned expert on footballogy and beeristics? His accolades include frequent beating of his wife, a penchant for racial slurs, and living in a trailer down by the river.

- Comment on EU grocery shoppers 'fooled' by 'maze' of food labels: audit 3 months ago:
Perhaps. But unlike nutritional facts, the fair treatment of workers/farmers, the sustainability of the company’s product sourcing, or the ethical treatment of animals are extremely difficult to monitor and evaluate. All too often, even respected labels do not represent the truth.
I remember a TV report about ethically sourced cobblestones a few years ago. Reporters showed through painstaking research in the source country that the stones had in fact been hewn by children working in a dusty quarry without any form of protective equipment…
The only way around this is probably to buy local whenever possible, and that is something which is truthfully indicated on the package.

Bullshit. All the information you could ever need is on the packaging already.

I (occasionally) like the frantic style of Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw’s Zero Punctuation game reviews. Together with the wacky animations, they’re quite something.
- Comment on Good game soundtracks? 6 months ago:
My favorite soundtrack ever, of course, is that of The Secret of Monkey Island (MT-32) by Michael Land. A lot of nostalgia there.
I also very much like the soundtrack to Dune by Stephane Picq. There’s an edition that combines the Adlib, Adlib Gold, and MT-32 versions which is “chef’s kiss”. Alternatively, I can recommend the Space Opera edition.
Strike Commander by Nenad Vugrinec on MT-32 is also great.
For chiptunes, I really liked Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 by Alex Mauer.
Or, for a real classic, Earthbound by Keiichi Suzuki and Hirokazu Tanaka.
Yes, I have a bit of a thing for retro sounds. 😁
