People may be able to information via FOIA requests. It would likely take months.

While in college I learned I could occasionally withdraw money I didn’t have from my bank account. I’d only take out about $40 and my account would go negative.
While the ATM was processing I stand there tapping the machine repeating “No wammies”

I just assumed the spider was fake.
- Comment on Speak American 2 weeks ago:
Years ago I had someone ask me where the exit to the building is. The building occupies a complete city block in NYC and there are many exits. Using the wrong exit could add 15 minutes to your walk.
I asked him where he is was going. He got flustered, said “speak American”, and walked off.

China most likely has access.

My co-worker is young and reckless while I’m twice his age and supposedly normal. We often get stuck together for 10 hour days so we talk a lot. I don’t share too many emotional details with him but occasionally like to let loose a bit to fuck with him. He seriously told me I’ve said some things that really scared him. But he won’t tell me what they are!

I had a toy like this over 40 years ago. Of course I just wound it up and let it go but it flew well.
- Comment on Perplexity CEO says its browser will track everything users do online to sell 'hyper personalized' ads | TechCrunch 1 month ago:
Ungoogled chromium is just brave without all the privacy benefits, mullvad browser is just tor browser without tor, which might be useful in some cases if you are using multiple browsers but I wouldn’t main it , and it has the same problems as librewolf
Yes, librewolf is un-mozillad firefox but it also turns on many privacy features by default. Many sites need exceptions to work properly which takes a little getting used to. After using FF for decades librewolf was an easy switch.

- Comment on What Could Go Wrong? App to help parents find childcare on demand 1 month ago:
I posted this because I’ve read many horror stories about using gig-work apps.
One example is someone in the SF Bay Area that used an to find a verified dog sitter while traveling. All seemed fine until the dog was returned. It was a DIFFERENT dog.
Another example is apps like UBER/LYFT to get a ride. I now hear ads on the radio from lawyers looking to represent those that have been harassed, molested, or raped.
I would trust my child with any

- Comment on What could possibly go wrong? DOGE to rapidly rebuild Social Security codebase. 2 months ago:
Exactly. IT folks know most large legacy businesses run on legacy code. The businesses do change the old code due to the risks.
I believe Elon thinks his team can do it. I believe he is wrong.
- Comment on Brave CEO rants about "lefties," "glowies," George Soros 2 months ago:
After Firefox changed its TOS a lot of people (including me) have jumped to LibreWolf. It takes FF, removes any parts that phone home, and turns on many privacy options.
It takes a little tweaking to make all websites work correctly. I have it running almost perfectly on windoze. I tried installing on Ubuntu last night but my Linux newbie status held me back.

This can be split into several patches if necessary.

This has been going on for years.
People used to find an almost dead crypto-coin, buy up as many coins as possible, and then pretend they were developing back from the dead. Then they would cash out.

My CPU is not supported. I don’t need faster hardware, my computer is able to do everything I need it to right now.
I do not want to buy more hardware just to support an incremental OS update.
I’m dual booting now.

- Comment on California's richest cities were told to build housing—but made it a crime to be homeless instead 7 months ago:
SF says the people they are doing this to have not accepted the city’s very limited options for housing.
There was recent article (help me find it) detailing there are over over 200 SF non-profits focused on housing funded by less than 10 govt agencies.

I live in Oakland an moderate (post) to the Oakland community.
I don’t recall all the details right now but… I think they tell all the people leave and then throw everything left in the trash.
- Comment on California's richest cities were told to build housing—but made it a crime to be homeless instead 7 months ago:
Currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area and see this happening in several cities. San Francisco is the largest example. They have made building new housing a nightmare of red tape yet they are going full steam ahead with clearing out the homeless people.
