The intro already hit me like a truck because I managed to relate with all the characters who’s going to fromage.

Competent Scrum Masters, 95% of the Scrum project that I’ve been part of caught on fire is because of an ass PO and an incompetent SM who can’t rein in the PO.

Syncing between windows. I separate my projects based on spaces and sometimes I need to have multiple windows open. Having a synced tabs state is a huge boon for my productivity tasks.

No tab syncing has kept me hostage to Arc on my workstation.
- Comment on Why I Ditched Spotify, and How I Set Up My Own Music Stack 1 week ago:
If you’re just looking at the popular stuff it’s going to be shit. My library is filled with artists with just couple thousands of listens per month and it’s the shit (to me).
Nowadays everyone can make music and it’ll mean more stuff to filter through but there’ll be more gems to discover.
- Comment on MIT Study Finds AI Use Reprograms the Brain, Leading to Cognitive Decline 1 week ago:
Fuck, this is why I’m feeling dumber myself after getting promoted to more senior positions and had only had to work in architectural level and on stuff that the more junior staffs can’t work on.
With LLMs basically my job is still the same.
- Comment on The US government could get even more Intel stock if the company ends up losing control of its chip manufacturing business 2 weeks ago:
Hopefully that’ll keep AMD from being complacent so they won’t end up being Intel 2.0
- Comment on Meta Quest 3/3s XR headsets finally rooted after 2 years 3 weeks ago:
High probability of it being a loss leader with its specs. So if you were to buy and root it they’ll definitely lose money.
However, the bootloader unlock process is still quite dangerous so you might end up with an expensive paper weight.
- Comment on Microsoft Still Can't Say How Much the ROG Xbox Ally X Will Cost Due to "Macro-Economic" Conditions, Despite Announcing Release Date and Availability Details(Leaked prices $549.99/$899 for Ally/Ally ) 3 weeks ago:
In places where Steam Deck isn’t selling officially, the ROG Ally has been selling like hotcakes.
- Comment on Report: Microsoft's latest Windows 11 24H2 update breaks SSDs/HDDs, may corrupt your data 3 weeks ago:
Agile has been a mistake for the software industry. It did nothing except to give executive more avenue to force changes to the software that are being developed and in the end it’ll take a longer time to have production ready software when compared to traditional waterfall approach.

- Comment on My new laptop chip has an 'AI' processor in it, and it's a complete waste of space 4 weeks ago:
I tried running some models on an Intel 155h NPU and the performance is actually worse than using the CPU directly for inference. However, it wins on power consumption front IIRC.

Yep, this is why at least for me when I develop websites I use Firefox first for development to make sure that the website runs on Firefox.

Well Google are already trialing a diffusion based LLM so that wouldn’t be too far fetched.
I want to get off Mr. Bones Wild Ride 😭
- Comment on 'Xbox Hardware Is Dead,' Says Founding Team Member, 'It Looks Like Xbox Has No Desire — Or Literally Can't — Ship Hardware Anymore' - IGN 2 months ago:
I think the Xbox Ally is able to play the Series’ games. It has a GPU that’s comparable to the Series S.
However, we’re gonna lose the old Xbox games (OG & One) compatibility unless Microsoft bundles an Xbox emulator into Windows.

I have this sneaking suspicion that the company I work for is already ran by an LLM. The CEO is obviously using ChatGPT for everything.

- Comment on Microsoft and Asus announce two Xbox Ally handhelds with new Xbox full-screen experience 3 months ago:
Nope, Bazzite or SteamOS doesn’t have that functionality.
Here’s a video showing how it works. If they managed to put this on Windows I’d be very tempted.
Mind that this is different from pausing the game. The OS is suspending the game state into the disk, so it’s more similar to emulator snapshots functionality.
- Comment on Microsoft and Asus announce two Xbox Ally handhelds with new Xbox full-screen experience 3 months ago:
I have an Xbox Series S for my little one and Direct Resume is such a nice QoL feature. Having 8 games always ready and only takes 3 seconds to resume even after you turned off and unplug the console is very useful. There’s some games on my handheld PC I didn’t bother playing since launching it can take a long time.
- Comment on Microsoft and Asus announce two Xbox Ally handhelds with new Xbox full-screen experience 3 months ago:
If they implemented Direct Resume I might cave and reinstall Windows on my Ally.

It depends whether you subscribe to the belief of reincarnation. There’s always a possibility that you’re actually reincarnated from an alien in Andromeda somewhere and the reason why you can’t remember anything is because the memory format of the alien physiology is not compatible with human brain.
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 months ago:
Well isn’t that okay? If you live in a big city your need to sleep of 8 hours is spread to a lot of people so people would just need to add few seconds of their sleep.
If you’re traveling away from civilization, that’s another story.
Hmm, your side effect also doesn’t specify the organism taking the sleep burden is a human so it can spread to other animals. By virtue this is a pretty useless side effect or even can be used as an explanation on how their powers work.
