I have this sneaking suspicion that the company I work for is already ran by an LLM. The CEO is obviously using ChatGPT for everything.

- Comment on Microsoft and Asus announce two Xbox Ally handhelds with new Xbox full-screen experience 2 weeks ago:
Nope, Bazzite or SteamOS doesn’t have that functionality.
Here’s a video showing how it works. If they managed to put this on Windows I’d be very tempted.
Mind that this is different from pausing the game. The OS is suspending the game state into the disk, so it’s more similar to emulator snapshots functionality.

I have an Xbox Series S for my little one and Direct Resume is such a nice QoL feature. Having 8 games always ready and only takes 3 seconds to resume even after you turned off and unplug the console is very useful. There’s some games on my handheld PC I didn’t bother playing since launching it can take a long time.

If they implemented Direct Resume I might cave and reinstall Windows on my Ally.

It depends whether you subscribe to the belief of reincarnation. There’s always a possibility that you’re actually reincarnated from an alien in Andromeda somewhere and the reason why you can’t remember anything is because the memory format of the alien physiology is not compatible with human brain.
- Comment on Let's play this game again 4 weeks ago:
Well isn’t that okay? If you live in a big city your need to sleep of 8 hours is spread to a lot of people so people would just need to add few seconds of their sleep.
If you’re traveling away from civilization, that’s another story.
Hmm, your side effect also doesn’t specify the organism taking the sleep burden is a human so it can spread to other animals. By virtue this is a pretty useless side effect or even can be used as an explanation on how their powers work.

I respectfully disagree. AMD basically said that they survived the Bulldozer debacle because of Sony and Microsoft ordering their APUs. The custom designs also have trickled down with AMD making iGPU that are desktop levels now (8060S).

Yep, they should have just put the yearly changes on something like a season pass and timed the major release with the regulation changes to match the simulation engine development.

Institutional knowledge is a real thing and also like you said, the first KSP started as a passion project. There’s a huge difference in terms of pressure and expectation between developing your own passion project compared to developing a sequel of a highly regarded game.

Don’t worry, we’ll find another part that’s going to be broken instead. TBH it already happened to my friend’s Gullikit controller, his shoulder and trigger buttons are already broken, but not his analog stick.

Yea I’m just saving up for an oled monitor at this point. My 5800X3D + 3080 12GB combo can still pretty much play everything above 60 fps with optimized settings on 1440p.
I also got a handheld for local streaming so I can push the graphics settings down more and still get a good IQ due to smaller size.
- Comment on I miss when you could get a flagship phone that could fit in your hand 4 months ago:
Oof this is the reason why I went with Fold. Basically when folded it takes almost the same area as an iPhone 5 albeit quite thicker. But my hand adjusted to the thickness quite nicely.
Having basically a small tablet when you unfold the phone for actual two handed use is good too.

It’s useful to take pictures. I usually turn on the outside screen so the people I’m taking picture of can pose themselves better. My kids love it too.
Sometimes I also use it for maps navigation when walking somewhere new. There’s actually lots of use cases for it, I just get a case with screen protector for it.

I’m luckily one of the “grandfathered” employees in my company meaning that I joined when the company is very small and got a very good contract compared to other new hires and they’re currently making my life hell in hopes to make me resign from the company. Unfortunately the job market is still hell. So, I’ve just got to hold on until I got fired to get that severance pay to act as a buffer money for me to start freelancing.
