Wow, somehow we’ve combined AI and boomer humor for a new low.

I should call her.
- Comment on What's the most offensive word I can use that isn't a slur? 1 week ago:
Not a word, but my favorite recent addition was when someone told me her husband, rather than flip people off in road rage situations, just looks at them and gives them a thumbs down gesture, and it makes them so much more mad. I’ve been doing it whenever I see Cybertrucks.

So, AI.
- Comment on How do you introduce the Fediverse to other people? 2 weeks ago:
Yeah, I usually joke I’m too hipster for Reddit and use Lemmy when Reddit comes up, and nobody ever asks for more information. I feel like, at least in their current form, federated apps are too complicated/fussy for anyone who isn’t actively interested in moving away from centralized platforms.
- Comment on How often do guys have a haircut? 3 weeks ago:
I shave my head in the shower every couple of days. Trim my beard once a week.
- Comment on what can I do at my workplace during downtime? 3 weeks ago:
I have a Kindle and love it, but if you don’t want to go with Amazon, I think Kobos are a solid option! The current best models are the Kindle Colorsoft and the Kobo Libra Colour, but they both have cheaper models as well.

I can’t recommend getting an e-reader more. It’s so much nicer than staring at a backlit screen for extended periods of time.

We’ve looked at how our teams work best, and the data is clear: when people work together in person more often, they thrive — they are more energized, empowered, and they deliver stronger results.
Would be interested in seeing that data.
- Comment on thick skinned employees, how can you be so thick skinned? 4 weeks ago:
As someone in this camp, this is very accurate. I’m simply very selective about the amount of fucks I give at work, and save them for my personal life. It makes me a better worker on top of having better work/life balance.

I’ll never be a dad, but I definitely inherited my dad’s sneeze.

If you have the ability to do this on your first day, it’s 100% not your fault.

I thought I was 37 before the gal I’m seeing learned my bday and told me I’m 38. Then I turned 39 a couple of months later, so I aged 3 years in a few months. It’s just a number, and gray facial hair looks great.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
Why even ask if you’re just going to deflect opinions you don’t like?
Hope you get some help, dude.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
Your personality is the problem, not the fact that you’re on the spectrum. I know plenty of autistic people who are very pleasant to be around, even those who are heavily introverted. If you put negative energy out towards people, they’re going to give it back to you.
- Comment on I'm on the spectrum. How do I live the rest of my life? 5 weeks ago:
They don’t see introversion and solitude as self caring, but as depression, being an ass and being antisocial.
As an introverted person, I really don’t think this is true. I’m very open about being introverted and needing to leave when I need my battery is depleted or turning things down when I need solo time, and I’m not sure I’ve ever experienced a negative or rude reaction from it. You already sound pretty misanthropic; I’d wager the people you’re having negative interactions with are picking up on that rather than your introversion.

I literally never watch shorts. I’ve selected the option to show less shorts on my computer, I select the not interested option on each individual video on my TV when the row of them shows up, and they still constantly come back.

I’m 38 and can’t imagine dating a 26 year old. The woman I’m currently seeing is my same age and it’s great.

- Comment on I'm making a guide to Pocket alternatives: getoffpocket.com 4 months ago:
Yeah, the Firefox extension I linked works the same way. I was just thinking out loud about the other alternatives and whether that approach would be feasible, but you’re right it does have the connection requirement.
- Comment on I'm making a guide to Pocket alternatives: getoffpocket.com 4 months ago:
I always forget the Kindle has a basic web browser. In lieu of a sync service/native apps, I wonder if any of these alternatives would work decently enough in the Kindle web browser with Article Mode.
