Sorry, there just are no alternatives to Photoshop, with Affinity Photo being the closest replacement nowadays, to the classical PS functions. Affinity Designer feels the same for Illustrator.

My impression on politico Europe was not that bad, although not properly a people’s newspaper

A search engine?

Sorry guys, that also happened 40 years ago in the form of “retired guy has some free time and starts buying 2 newspapers, one of which is just political propagabda”… That’s definitely not on social media, they just amplified the phenomena
- Comment on Angry, disappointed users react to Bluesky's upcoming blue check mark verification system 1 week ago:
I get it, but I don’t want to curate my followers, I’m not a news media, I just follow users I totally like, I usually look for content I don’t see in my timeline, do a lot of surfing, but in the end it’s not that big as today
- Comment on Angry, disappointed users react to Bluesky's upcoming blue check mark verification system 1 week ago:
That’s exactly what I meant: very few people, only on main niches, and some political and lifestyle ideas are common to 90% of the userbase (ie: anti-Trump, pro-Palestine, pro-Foss, etc).
I’m not complaining, just reporting what I see - Comment on Angry, disappointed users react to Bluesky's upcoming blue check mark verification system 1 week ago:
you don’t kill a cow for a scratch on her leg (I hope the saying is understandable for everybody since it doesn’t come from English).
I’m on mastodon and bluesky: the first is even less populated than here and a big part of the interesting content comes from bot reposting popular accounts from x or reddit, while the second is far from being THE solution but it’s nowadays a -not wildly populated- compromise. I don’t condone (while I understand) the Turkish bans and I’m not interested in a verification system: if I’d like one, I’d use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EIDAS.
I hope bluesky will correct its approach for what they can (the “good old” twitterin the golden era was banned in Turkey) - Comment on The latest viral ChatGPT trend is doing ‘reverse location search’ from photos 2 weeks ago:

- Comment on would getting back with an ex be a bad idea? 1 month ago:
This can be an unpopular opinion, but…While I found stupid the ghosting and I condemn his behavior, I wouldn’t expect a 20yo to know how to manage those kind of situations.
Also, trying again, trying harder, would not be a symptom of weakness: if you’re both willing to do it, you should; to clarify: trying harder does not mean to be more patient or tolerant towards things one does not like, but working to find better solutions for old and new problems. - Comment on X, Meta and the Great Social Media Meltdown 1 month ago:
I don’t even think we’re heading in the direction of the article, we’re just a small deviation from the main road, I just hope we’re not riding a dead end road. But the biggest I can imagine for “us” is a situation like Linux in the early 2000s
- Comment on X, Meta and the Great Social Media Meltdown 1 month ago:
That’s something I’d love to be real but it’s not. Google is still dominating, as reddit and x, let alone meta or tiktok. There are small niches like us, but VERY small

- Comment on Google officially changes the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America on Maps 2 months ago:
I somehow have a feeling that being president of the USA does not mean you can do whatever you want and people have to follow… Google Map, for one, is a product of a private company, not a Federal Service of the USA - so if they want to call it “Gulf of Google”, they could!
Then you’re right, they already protect/black out places and some places’ names, however the Gulf of America, like the Channel of Washington are just bs that in the worst case scenario will live 4 years. So it’s a joke and I like joking too - Comment on Google officially changes the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America on Maps 2 months ago:
