Yeah or services as Signulous could take a bit of strain away if you don’t want to be limited by the 7 days and 3 apps limit

Thanks! Will look into the other apps too!

I got certificates
- Comment on YouTube is now flagging accounts on Premium family plans that aren't in the same household 1 week ago:
For those select few that have an iPhone
You have a few options:
- be EU citizen and sideload a cracked YouTube (similar to vanced, but you need certificates on iOS which sucks)
- pay for a dev account and sideload regardless of above
- buy two apps: vinegar and AdGuard. AdGuard speaks for itself, vinegar is a tool that forces YouTube to use the html 5 player inside of safari and thus forcing it to your will
I know iPhones are hated here, but I saw the android will stop sideloading coming from a mile away. At least here in the eu apple can suck one and I can still sideload whatever I want

If a government wants this in place, they should also facilitate the means.

Was gonna say this as well. The Asian brands that have dominated the eu markets still do so. Vw as well, even after their eco blue debacle.
- Comment on Tesla sales plunge 40% in Europe as Chinese EV rival BYD's triple 1 week ago:
Cool. Now provide us with sources. Besides buzzword banger articles I haven’t seen hard proof. At least not more than other brands. Meanwhile Tesla has been doing this for training their self driving and we’ve been fine with it. And so do most cars under the norm of telemetry data.

Whilst true, it can also be a hassle when trying to install a custom rom

It meant that I didn’t give that much context in my comment and kindly flamed myself before a stranger got the chance to it haha
Thanks for the kind comment.

I’ve ever run arch, yet.
I’m used to scanning forums and wikis to find fixes, would arch be a “walk in the park” for me?
Thinking of switching from an oclp build on my old MacBook to Linux, as performance is lackluster on the latest build and I don’t even use the continuity features on my Mac
- Comment on It's weird how we say "go to sleep" as if sleep is a place 1 month ago:
In Dutch “go” means to go do a thing as well and I use it English in a similar fashion. Never thought of it weird before

Just install AdGuard. Works great.

- Comment on Vibe coding is to coding what microwaving is to cooking. 2 months ago:
And that’s exactly my point! Same with rice, you can have rice in a few minutes via the microwave. I like to be in control of my food however and quite often choose the longer road so I have better choice in how the rice or potato comes out
- Comment on Vibe coding is to coding what microwaving is to cooking. 2 months ago:
As someone who worked in a kitchen quite long, a microwave is a good tool and never the best substitute

Torchlight 2 is fun when you start out, but gets really repetitive quite fast. Good fit for a right in the middle

I know haha, I have above average hands. I really like the steam controller with the same reason and remember the n64 controller fondly

Wait, people think the Xbox controller is too big??? I find the ps controller too small and it cramps my hands!
- Comment on Microsoft's AI Secretly Copying All Your Private Messages 4 months ago:
I get that it is annoying for you since you obviously don’t have a pc that will run it, yet.
But a lot of problems in tech started because it was just there and didn’t do that much yet. Lots of governments are still catching up to the big tech to stop them from having too much power, because they slept on it.
I dislike the recall stuff too, I don’t have a pc that will be able to run it and probably won’t have one for the coming 10 years, unless there is a huge leap in performance. But I do appreciate all the people here making their voices heard and actually bending MS their knee as well.
So please filter it and get out of the way of the nice people, thank you

My earbuds are connected to a bt receiver that functions as a (not great, but okay) dac via usb too. Pro is that I can use the receiver with all my headphones, con is that it looks like an iPod shuffle gen 3

- Comment on Are there any games you don't play as it was intended to be played? If so, what game and how? 5 months ago:
Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west. I just roam around and by accident find the missions I’m supposed to do. I also exploit all the enemies, there is a hard lock on where they can walk, so I just stand 10 meter out of the zone and start hitting big enemies for 5 minutes without taking damage.
I will blame Skyrim for this behaviour

That’s a huge reply! Thanks so much for the write up, but I meant it’s not civ /s ofc
I did play with the tutorial and on my last run I actually did the prestige thing too! I think that I got lost in the urban planning and just really screwed that up, I didn’t think when placing let alone ahead of time. I got some stellaris vibes from the difficulty level, harsh when making stupid decisions. I got slapped a few times early game for getting baited into attacking and then immediately overrun.
Your write up inspired me to try again, I think I just made the same bogus mistakes I made with stellaris first time. Play it too casual and get bitten in the ass for it.
Thanks for your reply, you’re too kind a soul
