- Comment on Parents outraged as Meta uses photos of schoolgirls in ads targeting man 3 days ago:
A company spokesperson said: “The images shared do not violate our policies and are back-to-school photos posted publicly by parents. We have systems in place to help make sure we don’t recommend Threads shared by teens, or that go against our recommendation guidelines, and users can control whether Meta suggests their public posts on Instagram.”
They don’t even try to apologize or show remorse.

Some may think this is woo woo or superstition , but I lost count of how many times I’ve been like, “why are all the kids acting crazy (even the ones who are normally sane)?” and it turns out it’s a super moon or just a regular full moon.
I think it’s because kids still have that animal brain that sometimes overrides their logical brain.

Yeah, the Wikipedia said they smelled like watermelon rind. I unfortunately cannot confirm, because I didn’t think to smell it.

in more than one instance I’ve encountered people very not normal about their hobby and I choose not to associate with them. 🤷🏾♂️
To be fair, there are people like this, probably also on these forums, about almost every hobby. Gun nuts, programmers, “sweaty” card/board/video gamers, etc.

- Comment on Anime Voice Actor Kiba Walker Accused of Grooming and Soliciting Sexual Materials From Teenager 1 month ago:
Being unsure what to do in a sexting situation and not knowing how to say “no” is exactly why it is inappropriate to solicit minors - they don’t have the brain development and sexual knowledge to make those kinds of decisions.

Wow, it’s really sad hearing her daughter talk about how her mom was her best friend, and they talked every day, got mysteriously ill and died, and her dad was like, “now make pretend your mom killed herself.” He must not have know his wife or daughter very well.

Couldn’t we do this in a more localized way for large cities? Like a big ol’ shade satellite for areas being dangerously affected by heat waves? I know it’s just a bandaid but we will need these kinds of extreme weather mitigation techniques to keep us alive so we can solve climate change or die trying.

Opening up your relationship to another is tricky - you have to have immense trust in all involved. Do you trust that this guy isn’t just trying to get your wife? Do you trust that your wife isn’t just trying to get another man in the bed or transitioning over to him? Do you trust yourself to not be jealous when he takes her to bed (or goes on a one-on-one date)? If any of these questions gave you a little twinge of sick in your gut, that means you need to explore that - is it something you can overcome with conversations and agreed limits or is it too deep?
I was in a triad and it took some work to get over my jealousy (which I had in all my previous relationships and was not healthy anyway). However, it was a really rewarding experience - I had a same-gender partner to do things with, being with two people in bed is fun, and when things went bad with one partner, I had another one to emotionally support me and help me work through it before having a conversation with the other.
However, again, you have to trust that everyone has the others’ best interests at heart because there’s definitely the potential for one to try and turn the other against you if they aren’t trustworthy.
Good luck!

Am I the only one who finds these things magical? I love mycology and no one can convince me it’s not somehow related to the fae. (J/k just in case anyone who hates woo woo in their science, but it’s fun to imagine that’s what medieval people probably thought).
