I once ate shrooms and went to a club (late 90s in the Netherlands, psytrance). The party experience was complete gone for me, it was just like watching a nature show, where I heard a David Attenborough narator talk about how the female of the species was using various color pigments on her face to attract the male. While the males where using dance moves to show strength and virility.

Exactly don’t people understand these foreigners steal our jobs, while at the same time they are all lazy and live on welfare?

Exactly if we need to blame anyone, its fucking Wall Street and investment firms. Those are the people jacking up prices and reducing quality, they are also responsible for the entire outsourcing to China etc.
- Comment on Grandma is on her own 1 week ago:
Yeah let’s blame grondma it’s absolutely her fault we had inflation and rising house prices in the last 50 years. She did it all by herself!

While this is true, I don’t eat fish in general (don’t like the taste), so it’s more a sport than for food.
- Comment on Breaking the generational barriers 1 week ago:
Honestly, as a kid I loved fishing, I recently started again, but I actually felt kind of bad for the fish. Maybe if this trend continues I’ll be a vegan in the next 20 years.
- Comment on Breaking the generational barriers 1 week ago:
If possible I save the grease. My house is next to a river, so I made it a habbit to not just throw away food but feed it to the fish. Sometimes we have leftovers and it’s been a little too long to eat, so I throw it in the river.

What does that mean? Where I live you borrow a certain amount of money and you pay it back plus interest (in my case 3.5%), and that percentage is fixed for 20 years. In 20 years I expect to have paid most of that entire amount back and my house should be mortgage free
- Comment on Uber Eats or something idk 2 weeks ago:
I mean it more like if you would have borred 100K for a house in the 70s that was a lot of money, if you still live in that house you probably paid it back, but even if you didn’t 100K today isn’t that much money anymore
- Comment on Uber Eats or something idk 2 weeks ago:
What do you mean with “inflation was added to your mortgage rate”? The prices of houses do go up but this is mostly a problem for first time buyers, after that your current house has gone up in price too, so that helps with the next house. But if you buy a house and don’t move your mortgage is fixed for 20 or 30 years (unless you go without a fixed rate). So your monthly payment will stay the same, while hopefully your salary goes up.
- Comment on Uber Eats or something idk 2 weeks ago:
Not necessarily, if you own a home AND your pay slowly goes up to compensate (both of these unfortunately aren’t happening for a lot of people), relative to your income your mortgage goes down.
Or in more generic terms, inflation is good if you borrow money.

You can buy bags with fake mold, but people will probably see it and throw your food in the trash, so I don’t think it really helps.

- Comment on Why do some people hate drinking water? 4 weeks ago:
Until a week ago I was like this, coffee, some water and in the evening 1 or 2 beers.
But about a week ago my big toes started to hurt while walking. Googled my symptoms and I’m fairly sure I’m developing gout. So now I’m trying to get at least 2 liters of water in.
My problem is mostly that I just don’t get thirsty during the day. Like some days I might only drink one litre in total and I don’t feel thirsty at all.

In my case it was actually the port, well not really the port, but a lot of pocket dust had gotten into the port. I spend some time with a toothpick to clean everything out and it was fixed. When you think you got it all there is probably more.

It’s a different version of the tolerance paradox
The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance; thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance. (Source Wikipedia)

I started watching the movies again and I’m almost done and it’s fascinating. If you ignore the harry voldermort stuff and look at the wizard world, there are so many parallels with trump and the administration.
The more power voldermort gains (and even for JK he represents absolute evil), the more the world changes.
First its influence over the ministry, influence over the education system (Delores). Influence over the press, and killing press that is negative about the government. Locating half blood wizards (there’s a parallel with immigrants), I’m not at the end so I don’t know if the lock up halfblood wizards.

I just checked in NL when I search for cars 2010 or later and max 60K KM (50 isn’t an option on the site I used). I can find multiple small cars starting at 3000 euros. I selected a price range at 10K euros max and found almost 3000 cars, there are definitely decent options for way less than 20-30K
- Comment on Based on a true story 3 months ago:
You save up and get a second hand car you can afford. Why buy a new one, even a car with 30K miles or 50K KMs is a lot cheaper, while its still new enough to drive for a while without major repairs.

This is a tip for people that don’t drive automatic transmission, if you ever try it, put it in R and really floor it. The R stands for racing mode!

For me it’s the reason I started playing games again. Have been using Linux forever, didn’t wanted a dual boot etc. So when games started to work on Linux I stared to buy and play more and more.
Although recently it has mostly been openRTC without steam.
