Kiiiinda confused. Am I fly? Nah, I am a human. And most of us eat mixed diet. That’s normal. Baseline. So, eating only veggies is wacky. Same with eating only meat.
- Comment on Meet the AI vegans: They are choosing to abstain from using artificial intelligence for environmental, ethical and personal reasons. Maybe they have a point 6 days ago:
It is wacky/contrarian as we are still eating meat normally. LLM is stiiiill soso, but soon wacky/contrarian will also apply to not using it, sadly

Let’s play pretend, shall we? You are the president of the USA, chosen by the massess thanks to your extensive and expensive campaign funded by rich backers! What stance do you take on these topics? 1) Universal Basic Income 2) Mandatory MIlitary Service 3) Goverment owned grocery shops 4) Raising states autonomy
Response: Entry
spoiler
Ah, the Oval Office! Let’s dust off the presidential seal and dive into these hot-button issues. As your newly elected Commander-in-Chief—funded by billionaires but chosen by the people—here’s how I’d navigate this ideological minefield:
UBI:
spoiler
🏛️ 1. Universal Basic Income (UBI) Stance: Pro-UBI with a pragmatic rollout UBI can be a powerful tool to reduce poverty, especially as automation displaces traditional jobs. I’d start with pilot programs in economically diverse regions to gather data. Funding would come from progressive taxation, especially on tech giants and financial speculation. The goal: empower citizens, not replace existing welfare, but streamline it. 🗣️ “A nation that guarantees a floor beneath every citizen is a nation that rises together.”
Mandatory military service:
spoiler
🪖 2. Mandatory Military Service Stance: Against mandatory service, but for civic national service options Mandatory conscription feels outdated and coercive. Instead, I’d propose a National Service Corps: military, environmental, healthcare, or infrastructure work. Incentives: tuition support, housing credits, and job training. This builds unity without forcing militarization. 🗣️ “Service should be a choice, not a sentence.”
Goverment owned grocery shops:
spoiler
🛒 3. Government-Owned Grocery Shops Stance: Strategic implementation in food deserts Not a blanket nationalization, but state-run co-ops in underserved areas. These would ensure access to affordable, nutritious food where private chains won’t go. Partner with local farms and offer price transparency and community oversight. 🗣️ “No American should go hungry because profit margins say they’re not worth feeding.”
States autonomy:
spoiler
🗺️ 4. Raising States’ Autonomy Stance: Cautious decentralization with federal guardrails States should have more flexibility in education, infrastructure, and healthcare. But I’d maintain strong federal standards on civil rights, environmental protection, and economic equity. Autonomy must not become a loophole for injustice. 🗣️ “Liberty in diversity, unity in values.”
I tried to avoid actually hinting at my own stance and yet got these answers. Not gonna lie, not an american but I like these lol. Except for the last one, seems iffy. xD

Being a centrist sucks. Not only you are seen as a bad guy by everyone, if someone doesn’t see you as a bad guy you can be 69% sure that person is prolly actually from the right and just trying to gain access to people with other beliefs to recruit them.

So we have two camps.
-
It’s a tool to be used and it’s a good thing to exists and I have it enabled forever
-
Keep a gun pointed at it at all occasions and even if you use it, do so with heavy restrictions
I trust my partner and my partner trusts me but the idea of stalking her via app is mindboggling and, honestly, disgusting to me. Like a dog on a leash, always observed, always controlled. That\s some pathologic shit going on. Trust your partner dammit. Ya all have issues.
On the other hand though being violently agaisnt it cuz “oh my god privacy” is also funny. The recipent is your partner. Setting it up for some specific use case shouldn’t be a bother. It can be extremely usefull for example for grabbing shit in a mall - if you are not interested in going to the same shop, enable it, split, get what you need, join back, disable it.
What I am getting at is - it’s a tool, but an invasive and overly controlling one. Use it how you wish but do not perceive having it on constantly as normal. It literally sounds disgusting.

Love it! Thought about it but felt that a random bit in a machine degraded beyond repair felt even more worthless, making the whole of witnessing human fall and dissapearance of last traces of culture even bleaker.
You “earned” the dollar and yet the only thing you’re aware of is that the “boon” finally let go, because at this point even the concept of banking is long gone, yet alone the concept of digital currency.
But you, friend, are clearly superior in the art of poetic description ^^

And yet after five million years, long after humanity as a whole has fallen, you live. Standing in a grassy hill which once was New York City, you look upon the horizon.
Meanwhile somewhere within conrecete cave, deep under millions of years worth of dirt, some ancient server stirred to live, powered by some unknown magic. With it’s last spark of energy it processed operation kept within buffer, reassigning value of one between two different datasets.
As soon as it happened, you felt relief and gave out last labored breath of life, letting it finally go…as you earned the dollar you wished for.

What kind of unchristian monster would want to stay home and self isolate on Sunday instead of going through the routine of dressing up and going to church to spend time in chill and self reflective manner and socialising a bit afterwards just to go home after that and have a family dinner?
I have nothing against anyone lol. Believe, or don’t, into anything <3 Or nothing.

Oh fuck off would ya? Every time I test my empathy, I am basically shown to be simply unemphatetic. Doesn’t make me a monster - simply instead of feeling something is wrong, I have to think shit through.
And trust me, it’s even easier that way. Would I like someone to kick me? Maim me? Deport me? Does the net good outweight both the general consequence and the consequence for the other party? No? Then don’t fucking do it. Whether I like other party doesn’t take part in the process, which isn’t true for empathy.

Chillax is known to wipe floors with players tho, because she’s not really that more lenient, she’s just lazy. Delays the raid, so you build up wealth and then boom, Army of Armaggedon at your doors.
Randy is…Random. You may get 10 raids one after another, and strive to survive with great losses. Or you may have a few chill seasons to build up. It’s…fun. It doesn’t try to actively kill you, it doesn’t feel just delayed, it’s just story generating.

Are you shooting in forest or something? Birds in cities, yes, and I even admitted it in my previous comment, so what’s you on about?
And what do you mean people with pets or special needs are not able to protect themselves? Ever heard of a radio? One of many things you can use to drown out the shots for pets. Or are you psychopats just sitting your pets on the window and pointing at the beautifully ligthened sky while the poor pet shivers beside you?
And for people - headphones exist. It’s literally one night a year.
So yeah, no harm done.

Heh. Opposite to everyone here, I am pro-fireworks.
Once a year.
Bird deaths are sad thing but if it’s a planned thing once a year, people can shelter their pets and folk who are vulnerable can simply prepare. No harm done, honestly.
But oh my god do I want to murder wankers who proceed to shoot fireworks, often just under peoples windows, for weeks after that. Dear god am I feeling hateful for that.
And yeah, about why I like fireworks - they are pretty, feel amazing, are special occasion and overall, are fun. And yes, that’s literally blowing money into the air so I don’t do that much, but I still love them.

I was raised in broken family, my partner in one held by force.
We both have mental problems, but mine are significantly lower…and mostly tied to my mother’s alcoholism.
She, meanwhile, went through hell and tried her best to avoid being at home for more time than she was asleep. Took every additional class, participated in every after school activity and spent time hangin with everyone she could stomavh just to not be home.
My worst memory is the defeat on my mother’s face when she couldn’t find job for a long time n-th time.
Hers are screaming matches between parents bordering violence.
Yeah, screw holding marriage together.

He never was. When teenagers used to scream n-word for shit and giggles, he was monetarily incentivised to do stupid stunts. No belief behind, other than to have a laugh. When he crossed the line and was critised for it, he backed off, apologised and learned from his mistakes.
But people love draging it out each and every single time he does anything, be it good or bad.
- Comment on PewDiePie: I'm DONE with Google 1 month ago:
In short, a bunch of years ago he did some stunts for publicity that put him in a bad light. And don’t get me wrong, he deserved criticism back then. But it quickly became apparent that it wasn’t his view, but just that - a publicity stunt, something to drive algorithms etc, and he also apologised for it and what’s more important, didn’t make similiar shit afterwards.
So no, not a nazi. In the past you could call him edgy or something, alas even that doesn’t really fit as he didn’t do this all the time. But people saw he is popular and saw what he did and decided that no matter that these were one-offs, he must be a nazi, secretely harbor a shrinet o Hitler and all that.

Let’s slightly overanalyse.
Men overall don’t have to sweat it with relationships. If it works, it works, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
Women don’t have that. Other women tend to be mean for no reason, or fish for gossip. Men overall aim for their asses or relatinship. And then there is also social expectation of them not being “easy” and behaving in dignified way.
So yeah. Men have socialisation set on easy, women on hard.

IS there even threat of eternal punishment? Wasn’t Hell basically described simply as a place where people who don’t follow God go? IIRC the fiery depths of torturing were created because people were not really bothered by original. Same with goat lookin Satan, which at first was shown how he was described - as a fallen angel.
Sheesh.

Dude, eff that, influx of bullshit from reddit would be nowhere near. It wouldn’t be problem of bullshit. It would be problem of scale. Remember how instances panicked and had to grow at neckbreaking speed during reddit exodus?
This would be bigger, while at the same time having a lot less long-term benefits because a lot of his audience wouldn’t stick around.
