Well, this job certainly would make the perfect excuse for him to take photos of himself striking some cool poses.
- Comment on Ex PlayStation exec says Sony can't keep "increasing the graphics power" with new consoles after tech plateau, but PS5 has already "made almost every game a better game" 1 week ago:
I meant, they’ve been teaching gamers that better graphics is the reason to get a new console for over 30 years. Good luck now trying to unteach that.
- Comment on How, and why, are there so many AI-generated videos of incredibly obscure/niche topics? 1 week ago:
This is exactly the same thing that happened when search engine started to get shitty a few years ago. It’s just another step into enshitification :(
- Comment on What's your greatest "gaming high" you've been chasing ever since? Please take care not to spoil anything, if you are going to be story-specific. 2 weeks ago:
The physics in Half Life 2 blew me away, I would stop every few meters pushing stuff around and then in the water bike part and the gravity gun my jaws would drop. No we just have shinier graphics but still waiting for sor something like that to blow my mind again.
Also the slowmo on Max Payne 2, can’t count the times I’ve replayed it because of that.
- Comment on Shortly After Xbox Game Pass Prices Spiked, the Page to Cancel Game Pass Subscriptions Was Overwhelmed 3 weeks ago:
It was nice to have Xbox a month or two a year to play new releases. Guess that it’s over now, no problem, still a patient gamer.
- Comment on What Are Ya'll Playing? 3 weeks ago:
The Amiga version of Alien Breed 2. Bitch is hard as nails in a coffin. In comparison the Alien Breed trilogy on PC on hardest difficulty is a walk in the park.
- Comment on It's official: EA is going private. 4 weeks ago:
I’m surprised that there isn’t any government organization that controls or oversees this kind of buyout, especially when so many billions are involved.
- Comment on Hands-On: Borderlands 4 wants you to forget Borderlands 3 ever happened 1 month ago:
It’s ok, I already forgotten a few years ago.
- Comment on How long do we have before PCs get locked bootloaders and corporations ban installation of "non-approved" software? (for context: Google is restricting sideloading worldwide on Android ETA 2027) 1 month ago:
I see Apple doing it, not because they are Apple but because they control the whole manufacturing process, so they wouldn’t need to negotiate with third parties. That’s what has happened in the mobile industry. In the PC side of things you would need to sit in a table: the CPU, OS, and probably GPU and MOBO manufacturers to negotiate, and knowing how greedy they all are, I don’t see it happening anytime soon. But hey, anything is possible in this dystopian society we live in.

- Comment on Immortals must be riddled with cancer thanks to gene errors in their dna replication. 1 month ago:
Another point of view would be error replication leading to mutation since they cannot die. So a million years in the future how much different would they be from their original species.
- Comment on PSP games that are enjoyable without the nostalgia-factor 1 month ago:
Ridge Racer. I don think I have ever put that much hours in a arcade racing game.

Ok, until I saw the integrated joystick I thought: " ok, so fart seat but purchasable"
- Comment on It's a simple thing, but one good way to make games memorable is for the developers to leave you words of encouragement in the pack-in material. 2 months ago:
So this is the last game I played in my early twenties, then a gaming hiatus of 15 years (studying, dating, work…) It was on a brand new PC I had put together for my design studies. Two things I remember perfectly: A) the atmosphere was incredible and scary B) when enemies showed it ran in stop motion. Sadly a had to put my money towards more memory and better monitor and the GPU wasn’t as necessary to me at the moment.

Hopefully “closely” doesn’t mean additional launcher, paid cosmetics and such.

All day long. The mix of cute animals and the nonchalant gore plus funny noises was peak comedy. Probably among the best stuff on YouTube ever.

This has been so obvious from the beginning, and now that it’s too late is when they starting to complain.
- Comment on Microsoft has never been good at running game studios, which is a problem when it owns them all 3 months ago:
But that is the whole point. You don’t buy studio to make games, you buy them to get rid of competitors.

I meant, of course everything depends on which version of what you consider. This reasoning also works if we have a different version of what God, or good or humans are.
