I don’t even splurge on brand name shit, most of it tastes the same (or worse) than less popular or generic brands.

I was just talking about this with my wife no later than yesterday.
When I was a kid (in Europe) you either got the brand name stuff or you were eating absolute trash. These days you can barely tell the difference. Also all the stuff that are healthier alternatives also taste great now (high protein/low calorie ice cream was the example that prompted this conversation).

My wife’s bank app has this year in review thing and the bastard called us foodies for our high food spending.
That pissed me off so bad, we fuck’n eat rice chicken and vegetables, cheap ass potatoes or shit like noodles or beans from a can and bread for lunch with peanut butter.
How the fuck, like i know shits expensive but come on man…make some market adjustment to that setup you’re running, better yet keep your nose out my business ffs.

“Plan to spend more.”
Yeah… It’s my plan like it’s the suns plan to rise in the morning…
The earth forces that shit and the food conglomerates force me to spend more…

Yeah, like groceries are fucking expensive. Like meat is straight up unaffordable. Also anything that isn’t store brand is crazy expensive so yeah sometimes imma splurge on non store brand stuff

Next up: How some Gen Zers are splurging on hot showers.

Not a joke. Regulators have slowly reduced showers to a trickle. Pulling out the flow regulation device is a splurge worth doing.
