I read the old Philip k Dick story a couple days ago that Terminator is based on.
One side of a world war made robots that were built, run, and designed by AI without any human input
Things went great till the AI designed around all the safety and neither side even knew what the AI was doing.

It’s not very well known. I’ve got a bunch of of books of his short stories and never heard of that one.
It’s easy to forget the amount of work scifi writers of that time pumped out. They were paid practically nothing and most of them (def PKD) wouod just take a shit ton of meth and write for days.
They were producing work nonstop for decades.

No. Unscrupulous billionaires and their corporations exploiting AI for profit with little to no regulation needs to go.
Like most tools, it can be useful and a net positive to the world if regulated and used right.
