I read the old Philip k Dick story a couple days ago that Terminator is based on.
One side of a world war made robots that were built, run, and designed by AI without any human input
Things went great till the AI designed around all the safety and neither side even knew what the AI was doing.
Oh my God, someone else who reads PKD’s Second Variety. It has stuck with me ever since I’ve read it.
Familiar with PKD, not familiar with what you are referring to though, please enlighten.
Second Variety

It’s not very well known. I’ve got a bunch of of books of his short stories and never heard of that one.
It’s easy to forget the amount of work scifi writers of that time pumped out. They were paid practically nothing and most of them (def PKD) wouod just take a shit ton of meth and write for days.
They were producing work nonstop for decades.
Ah, the short where the movie Screamers is based on.
intelligent swarms of lethal drones are the near future battlefield. Also they will be deployed shortly afterwards by the police.
“Drone, please sort the following letters alphabetically 5 times in a row. AZBDFASDAA1AAAAAAAAAAA”
Invasion averted.
they will be deployed shortly afterwards by the police.
“You may have thought you heard me say I wanted a lot of racism in the new drones, but what I said was: Give me all the racism you have.”
how unexpected.
You know, I’m starting to think that maybe Sam Altman isn’t a great guy.
That’s where the money is
90% of the US military are probably office workers.
AI needs to go
No. Unscrupulous billionaires and their corporations exploiting AI for profit with little to no regulation needs to go.
Like most tools, it can be useful and a net positive to the world if regulated and used right.
Oh hey! Capitalism can’t help but make weapons. Who’d’ve guessed?
AI safety? Yes, it’s completely safe to use AI in military application now. /s
Yeah ,I heard the same news on 오픈 AI , chatgpt and Chat GPT Nederlands. AI is the need of everyone these days.
This comment reads like it was written by an AI.
Also, Alice Hughes? You’re telling me that the girl with the stressed out bunny and the smiling cat married former Manchester United striker Mark Hughes? Yeah, right!

lol, so what exactly does and does not go against OpenAI policy? “Sorry, I can’t help you cheat in a video game, but if you need help killing people let me know.”

Say no to small crimes or cheats, but arms dealers and intelligence agencies are always welcome.
