Wonderful timing! I just started reading The Word Hord: Daily Life in Old English and this comes up at the start of chapter 3. In Old English it’s called “morgen-colla”, which translates to modern english as “morning dread” or “morning rage”.
Granted it’s in the wee hours of the morning, not as you’re trying to fall asleep, but it still demonstrates how humans are gonna human.
