Agreed. Copilot hijacked my PC, and I feel much more convenient using Linux now.

How is it that AI is allowed to give medical advice but not help you find porn?

It’s simple really, nobody ever got hurt by AI medical advice but everyone who watched porn (even before AI) is dead or will die at some point.

Sometimes when I think about watching porn I feel guilty and bad about myself and then other times I see somebody rejoice in the righteousness of banning porn and I think “This feels good! This is a good thing!” and I pump my fist in rhythm to the speaker as I masturbate to righteousness and self hatred.

I’ve changed my mind, I’m ok with kink shaming in some cases

I installed Windows 11 with a local account, disabled trash like OneDrive and Copilot and haven’t had any problems with them coming back.

Any market share that Linux can claw away from Microslop is always a good thing.

Wait for the big yearly update, that’s when uninstalled things crawl back. 25H2 was released in 2025 September, but it didn’t install automatically on some hardware so you maybe still on 24H2. If you are still on 24H2 expect annoying notifications about buying a new computer around 2026 September, as that’s the EOL of that update. You can force these updates even if your hardware is unsupported with with FlyOOBE

It is not Personal Computer anymore, it is a thin client to use oligoarchys computation

And locals around the data centers pay with their water supply, higher electric bills, and construction traffic and noise. All this so corps can take what used to be on your computer and try sell you their crappy genAI.

Using W11 local windows account and dont sign in via hotmail and haven’t seen much of the AI stuff intruding. default browser is firefox etc. But i don’t have a good reason to migrate to W12 ever if they try and be subtle about this stuff.

I just commented the same thing. I disabled what I didn’t want at startup and have had zero intrusive prompts from unnecessary Windows bloat.

I’m still holding out hope that Linux finally becomes a mainstream OS one day.

passwords and form data can be synchronized. Enabling password and form data synchronization might give some users pause for thought, particularly after the Windows Recall fiasco, but users worried about Redmond slurping data should probably consider an alternative to Windows anyway.

    Definition of keylogger:

While the programs themselves are legal,[3] with many designed to allow employers to oversee the use of their computers, keyloggers are most often used for stealing passwords and other confidential information.[4][5] Keystroke logging can also be utilized to monitor activities of children in schools or at home and by law enforcement officials to investigate malicious usage.[6]

    (Wikipedia)

Ask yourself, who’s investigating what, and why? Keylogger have been used in specific and strongly defined use cases. This is neither.

eventually I’m sure it will. at least within windows I think it’s safe to assume if it’s on the screen, it’s a candidate for AI control.
