It’s so frustrating when you try to block US politics from your feed to keep the anxiety down, and people hit you with YSK/TIL TRUMP DID THIS HORRIBLE THING

The average Lemmite is the kind of person that thinks you shouldn’t be allowed to ignore politics

The fact that we all casually talk about how big money is almost a requirement to get into, run, manage, and maintain politics … goes to show you how democratic the system is.

Singapore solved this problem by paying its politicians really well. You’d think that would result in more corruption because people would do anything to get the job, but it hasn’t.

The fact that corporations are the dominate social structure is undisputable. Everything, including notions of democracy, is secondary to this. Whenever there is a conflict between wealth and the general populace the government will always side with money due to corruption.

This is pretty universal across all nations. There is not a democracy that does not suffer from this problem. At this point it really does feel that democracy in most forms is just a window dressing for corportocracy.

The British should have seen that he has a Temu Trump and leave it at that.

He was an absolute dose but Trump is a scrotal tick. He is an insanely outrageous piece of shit. Its really not fair to anyone outside of other serial rapists, cowards, abusers and those responsible for thousands of deaths to likened to him.

Bojo was a cheater but it would appear none were raped or a child or both. He also took a strong stance on Russia and held it, the only stance Trump holds for Russia is downward dog. It is thenonly consistent position he holds.

Americans take everything to the extreme, but BJ is repulsive, selfish, corrupt and immoral enough to hate. Trump is just the ugly but logical conclusion of American culture. 😔

Good story, didn’t know. Lovely look behind the corrupt scenes. However it is more than 4 years old. It’s undoubtedly still relevant and ongoing in one way or another, but it’s not breaking news.

It’s relevant in that the inquest into the Government of the time’s handling of the covid-19 pandemic has just concluded. Their findings come as no great surprise to anyone. Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson -to refer to the self serving sack of festering syphilitic fucks by it’s full name- is responsible for the government mishandling of the whole affair.
