Couldn’t they just animate literally any white house press conference and call it a day?

The dueling minigame goes into muscle memory, as well.
And it uses the same timing, mechanics and keys as the dancing minigame. - Comment on Learn how to use Windows 95 with Jennifer Aniston and Mathew Perry. 1 day ago:

In that game the OP tactic was ramming war ships with a canoe (it sails faster than cannonballs fly so you can evade them), then beating up the captain so his 2000 trained Marines will surrender to your 50 brigands.

Yes. Makes sense, too.
Eggs were a nutritious food that’s relatively easy to get, long before we even evolved into modern humans. - Comment on This is my 6,000th post on Lemmy. It's been great eating beans and learning how not to poop for 3 days with you guys! Brb, gotta send my weekly nudes to the admins 3 days ago:

I bought it and went in blind, just because I heard it’s a really chill game with a great atmosphere.
But then the twist happened, and now that I know, it gives me anxiety, so I can’t enjoy it anymore.
I simply can’t play games with a time limit.
Without that, it would be one of my favorites. - Comment on Games you really want to play, but can't or won't? 3 days ago:
Daggerfall.
It has the most elaborate character creation and most freedom of choice of all the Elder Scrolls games.
You can walk, ride or fly through an open world that’s as large as Great Britain, with thousands of realistically modelled towns and cities, and enter any house in them. You can turn into a vampire, werewolf or were-boar, buy a ship, make deals with the gods, invent your own spells, and commit bank fraud.
First time I played it, it took all night to download the 140MB installer from Kazaa.
But actually playing it now, after so much development in game mechanics has happened, is a chore.
When doing quests, you just go through the same loop of “talk to person, clear an absurdly huge dungeon, kill dozens of enemies that aren’t scaled to your level, die a couple dozen times unless you cheesed the game to become invincible, solve a text riddle, find the McGuffin, return, repeat” over and over again. - Comment on Claude Code is suddenly everywhere inside Microsoft 3 days ago:
Yeah, LLMs are pretty great contextual search engines if you curate a good dataset for them to draw from.
They aren’t a magic bullet that’ll find what’s relevant to you from the vast ocean of shit that is the internet. - Comment on You won: Microsoft is walking back Windows 11’s AI overload — scaling down Copilot and rethinking Recall in a major shift 3 days ago:

Meanwhile the German federal and local governments, police, all top politicians, communes, institutions, etc. still use X for public communication.

- Comment on The rich oppose clean energy because it is renewable. If clean energy became non renewable, or fossil fuels became renewable, they would no longer oppose a transition to clean energy technology 3 days ago:
Renewable energy (at least wind and solar) is decentralized.
It doesn’t need a huge corporation to build it, with enough bargaining power to blackmail the state. - Comment on What is the definitive way to play certain games? 3 days ago:

It’s Free Market Economy the way it was meant to be implemented in a Democracy originally, before corruption gradually killed it in the US. - Comment on It's a "patience" building exercise? 4 days ago:

A single late salary payment is code red to jump ship.
Regardless of any excuses or reasons they give you –
This kills every employee’s trust in the company at once.
Even if the company wasn’t fucked before, it is now.
(And if a company that wasn’t already fucked decides to pay salaries late for any reason, then whoever is in charge is such a colossal idiot, it’ll be fucked soon anyway.) - Comment on Can anyone explain why? 4 days ago:
