Do other countries/areas of the world have entire months dedicated to some specific thing, such as Pride month, AAPI month, Black History month, etc. Part of me thinks this is a U.S.-specific phenomenon, but I’m curious about the rest of the world.
In Costa Rica elections are a whole thing, like everyone’s out with flags on cars and megaphones yelling about one of the 20+ political parties.
Also Semana Santa is a week long Catholic holiday.
Thankfully not here in Australia.

Pretty sure December is Christmas month in many parts of the world.
And late oct early nov, some kind of dead/death month in the americas, europe, india, and the pacific
We def have pride “month” in Australia.
However, most cities have pride festivals at other times of year like my city had a bunch of events over 2 weeks in Febreuary.
IDK why it’s a whole month? You’re right it’s unusual. We celebrate different sports for different periods of time. IDK if that counts.
People refer to “Christmas time” or “over christmas” as a vague period of several weeks. “We’re going to visit mum and dad over christmas” implies a week or more.
Some came over from the US but traditionally, not. Not even memorial days are that common. Just the big ones and the Cristian holidays.
New Zealand music month is great for getting out and seeing local bands play.
Aw man, we need some of that everywhere.

June belongs to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Since Catholics live everywhere, I would say month long celebrations are everywhere.
And May was the month of Mary!
With exception of religious celebrations like easter or ramadan, I don’t think there are any long term dedicated celebrations. At least here in my part of eastern europe.

I believe we technically have a pride month here as well but it’s only “celebrated” by rather niche group of people. Mostly it’s just a month of trying to make money by selling rainbow colored things.
