As TikTok and consorts demonetise, censor, shadowban quite a bunch of words deemed “problematic”, such as death, covid, and also kill, I wouldn’t wonder if this already happened.
The only gross or surprising thing about censorship on TickTock is that it’s consensual. I think it’s ironic that neoliberals have conditioned Western “consumers” to to accept things getting worse as just “it is how it is”, and the CCP has swooped in to take advantage of us that way.
I was watching a youtube movie review and I didn’t realize it was AI til it started using the term “self-delete”.
No because it makes it sound less horrific than it actually is. I would replace with ‘blown to pieces’.
