Tl;dr reddit is now going to issue warnings and bans for those who upvote violent comments. I’m sure this won’t immediately be abused against peaceful dissent.
i’ve seen some weird and crazy ultra violent shit on reddit. i don’t want more of it but fuck them and fuck spez.

I’m pretty sure comments with directed violence get removed and repeat users banned on most Lemmy instances as well…
It’s weird because I remember Reddit implementing that maybe ten years ago. If someone can confirm.

By this logic, minecraft is a good representation of life. You gotta light up your base, keep the creepers away, and sometimes the enderman comes by to steal your blocks.
Plus, general society, the villagers, are total morons.
