It’s entirely optional folks. No need to get all bitchy. FF is our only option against google, we need to stop criticise all they do. We asked for an AI opt-out option and they listened. Mozilla is far from perfect but we need them to keep developing, no forks are possible without FF.

Don’t you guys value having a good sound system? I can live with a 14" screen but give me some of those beatiful deep bass, rich highs and mids, and a nice balanced stereo image or I’ll thow a tantrum

I think it’s a good thing: we complained and they listened. FF is far from being perfect and I’m definitely not a fan of some of the decisions they made recently, but it’s still the best browser out there. It’s great that there is forks but they are only possible if FF base keeps being updated.

This has always been an issue. I’m just saying that now there’s an opportunity to bring people to the Fediverse.
One thing, though: I’m getting tired of the negative comments about it. I’m trying to educate people in whatever small ways I can, hoping to make a modest positive impact in this dystopian world.

I’ve just installed the loops beta on iOS. I don’t really care for short form video content in general but here’s to hoping open social media can become more mainstream.
Same. Not my bag but if we can get a peak in registrations, that might help to promote the app.

I don’t see why this wouldn’t be allowed, this is the Fedi, it’s open to various opinions.
My problem with this is the same with all the proprietary platforms, the only thing that matters is the amount of money it can bring to investors. So when Bluesky gets popular enough, some rich douche will make sure to gain control over it and use it as a propaganda machine for the right, it’s just a matter of time.

A small good news-ish, thanks. A couple of years ago I would have tell you this is far from the minimum that should be done, but hey, in the current fascist dystopia I’ll stfu and take it.

I know!. I watched a few videos but I’m affraid I lack some programming skills for now. Or it would requires that I have a few days off and be in great mood haha. I have a few computers that would probably work, what I would need is someone by my side to help me troubleshoot whatever wont work. You guys already made me switch to linux which I wouldnt even have considered a few years back lol. Super happy, but it’s always a challenge when something stops working. For example, after the last kernel update, I spent hours trying to get bluetooth to work again, and in the end buying a new adapter was the only thing that worked. But one day I will self-host too!
