    Crocodile, shark, pill bug… They’re all creatures that are now famed as “living fossils”. Even looks like a coeleocanth fin in one of the panels.

    The implication is that the crab is content with it’s life but the spawn of some of those seeking a better like through evolution ended up miserable, toiling away oppressed by their own kind.

  I’m not sure I understand. There’s a nautilus, croc, shark, trilobite - so is the point that non of them really evolved?

  Triops (tadpole shrimp) have been around longer, they’re the oldest living fossil (360 million years), and they only live for three months at a time, and are still around today.
