What? The best are Wii, DD and 8DX. Even for a handheld game, 7 is terrible. It’s nowhere near as good as DS and has less content than SC. 64 and SMK aren’t much better but at least are not significantly worse than what came before.

True, but 7 is worse.

The pricing changes happened years ago. This is about the game being F2P but nothing can actually be done without paying, and subscriptions from the Web version don’t grant access to the Steam game.

You should play MK7 if you think 64 is bad.

They used the No Man’s Sky strategy: release trash, polish it a bit, then get praised for improving while the game is still nowhere near what was promised.

If Apache archived all their dead projects, they wouldn’t have any project left.

It is pretty much the same as 20 years ago. That is, good enough for basic use cases but nowhere near as complete as MS Office. It isn’t a serious program for professional use.

What kind of games do you play? Unless a game has anticheat, it is pretty much guaranteed to run on Linux.

It sounds a bit like TM Turbo with the neon aesthetic, but it doesn’t have collisions with other cars.
- Comment on Nextcloud (PHP) vs OpenCloud (Rust) 4 weeks ago:
Nextcloud’s biggest issue is performance, and PHP. while not a problem per se, doesn’t help. PHP is not designed for huge applications that need to have processes running in the background; it only runs when a request is made then stops the process, therefore it needs to load itself from scratch on every single page load.
This is because PHP used something called CGI; the webserver (usually nginx or Apache) calls an external PHP binary to generate a page. With Go (or pretty much any other language), the app is its own server and can keep data in memory and do stuff even when no request is coming.

Regardless of what the fine print may say, this is effectively owning your games forever.
However, if you don’t ignore the contract you signed, this is effectively piracy. Which is fine, don’t get me wrong. But you still don’t own anything. BTW Steam has plenty of DRM-free games which you can run without Steam; backing them up is a more manual process but the end result is the same.

You don’t own your games on GOG. Please stop spreading this easily disproven lie. GOG, like all digital storefronts, only sells revocable licenses.
