  Late-stage dementia patients typically lose a lot of weight, even among those whose diets are monitored. Combined with the drugs he’s on, I think they’re doing everything they can to keep him alive so he can soak up as much negative press before/if Vance takes over.

    Cancer would, unfortunately, be too slow. Unless it was an extremely aggressive form of cancer. Most kinds people his age get take years to develop, and longer still if you’ve got amazing healthcare.

      dude i’ve seen “slow” diseases go in a week and “fast” diseases take a decade. every person likes to think they are unique and when it comes to medicine many of them are.
