I think it has to do with the shape of the stage than their music?
Canconda@lemmy.ca 2 days ago
That’s what I thought but OP’s title references a guitar lick

“Devious lick” is zoomer slang for “stealing shit on camera”.

This is what I needed. Ty.

Not exactly. It’s one of those skibidi rizz whippersnapper things.
The devious lick…was a destructive social media trend in which…students posted videos of themselves stealing, vandalizing, or displaying items they stole…
Wiki page on the subject.

Liberty North High School’s front sign after being vandalised by a “devious lick”, with the ‘L’ in “school” having been stolen
Really? They took an “L”?

The Kaaba is a cube-shaped holy shrine in Mecca. If you look at photos of it, it’s usually covered in a black cloth and is surrounded by a huge crowd of Muslim pilgrims from all over the world. I think the joke is that the NIN stage curtains and the crowd make this photo look similar to those taken of the Kaaba in Mecca.

Couldn’t that just apply to any concert that the band uses a curtain to cover the stage before they go on?
