Can we please have yet another discussion on whether or not it is ethical to use AI for generating memes?
Depends on what you’re using it to generate. Entire art styles out of thin air that were probably derived from someone’s real art? I’d say that’s an ethical dilemma.
Using AI to make the perfect cat-spider-hybrid? No artists were harmed, it’s just faster photoshop.

Well yeah that’s what always boggled my mind - oil drilling rights, abortion, taxes, these things don’t have anything to do with each other, but if someone has an opinion on one of them, you can pretty well guess their opinion on the rest.
I dunno though, Europe seems to be doing pretty well with regulations that go after big corporations and benefit everyday people. I think it’s just in America where “the left” is finished. If anything it’s such a disaster that it’s like a warning to the rest of the world. Trump’s election flipped the polls in Canada from right to… well not left, but not right either.
Oh yes please bring politics into everything! It makes discussions so much enjoyable! Please tell me more about your political views and those of your family, it adds so much to this post!
Everything is political but you’ve been brainwashed into thinking only national government is political.
Yes, a lot of stuff is political but their AI loving dad being a fascist, or at least a supporter of fascists, is completely irrelevant regarding discussion about the ethical use of image generation. Same goes for the claim the left is done. It’s only and attempted ragebait and adds nothing. You can see it in so many places in the comments under various posts, which is annoying at times.
So annoying when you jump in something already political to pretend you’re offended
