It also missed a few vital scenes. They cut down the movie to fit within an arbitrary time limit.

I’m flabbergasted that they found a way to do a shot-for-shot remake wrong.

They intentionally wanted to make the shot-for-shot remake fail so they can point at it “still failing” and continue to ruin more remakes.

        What? That makes no sense.

Did they know the original is shorter?

It just struck me that the ‘live action’ version of most movies are still like 90% CGI… Really the only thing not computer generated are the actors and even then, only mostly. What’s even the difference at that point?

An attempt to apeal to the “cartoons are for babies” crowd?

Do you even have to ask?

I mean, there’s a >0 number of good live-action adaptations of animated shows. I’ve heard mainly good things about the Netflix One Piece show.

If it’s so good, then why is there only One Piece of it? Why not a Second or Third Piece?

It’s apparently an adaptation, not a shot for shot transcription.

Yeah but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. You probably wouldn’t want a shot-for-shot transcription going from manga to live-action.

There’s a love action version? I just assumed the middle screenshot was DLSS 5.

It was good. It was almost a beat for beat, scene for scene remake. The only scene I specifically noticed being omitted was the one on the beach with the small dragons.
