Couldn’t agree more, the weapon system is incredibly frustrating too. I solved that problem simply by using a trainer to mod all the weapons to have the same stats. That way I can just use whatever gun Arthur grabs and not worry about it.

Glad you’re getting upvoted for this. Every time I mention how outdated RDR2 felt at launch, I get downvoted. But it’s true. For a game about an outlaw, you sure have to follow a lot of rules to play the game as the developers intended.

Yeah but Elon Musk thinks that camera-based self driving alone is adequate. I’m not talking about Teslas anyway. Fuck Tesla and fuck Musk. The robotaxis I ride in have several radar antennas on them in addition to the cameras, and they only drive in designated areas so there’s no worry about them ever encountering unfamiliar terrain.
Honestly, riding in one feels so safe and predictable, that I have no qualms about reclining the seat and taking a nap. If more people tried them, maybe they’d understand what I’m getting at.

That’s just how bad Nintendo is at porting their own games! There’s constant FPS dips, and the input lag is so bad that you can literally see the delay without needing any equipment to measure it. It’s so bad in Mario 64 that it renders the game unplayable, leaving you with two games can actually be played (but just barely so).
I much rather play these games in an emulator. At least they’ll run properly.

See this is why I prefer robotaxis. At least I know I’ll get a consistent experience every time. They all drive exactly the same way and always arrive exactly at my set pickup spot. They never cancel rides because they don’t get too lazy lazy to find the pickup spot I set. And the best part: No tipping.

Low key kinda glad they made it a FOMO game cause the game fucking sucks, so when I sell it for hundreds of dollars in a couple of years I won’t feel bad about it at all.

They don’t mean you. They mean the people in the Nintendo communities who downvote and mod even the slightest criticism of their previous company.

What’s “the remote view”? Never seen that feature in any Lemmy app before.

Yes I’m aware the added information is fake, but I don’t care cause it still looks better than SDR. The additional fake details especially look good in the highlights. Clouds are a lot more realistic, for one. There’s almost as much brightness information as real life clouds.

HDR is not “trivial and minor”. It’s a make or break feature for me. I use it every day.

Games and YouTube. HDR makes them so much better.
Like I said to the other person, I didn’t spend $1800 on a high-end OLED for no reason. I want to hear able to use every feature it has.

Yes, really. HDR is a make or break feature for me.
I didn’t spend $1800 on a high-end OLED, only to be unable to fully utilize every feature I paid for.

Which European countries have jobs available with good benefits, free healthcare, affordable gigabit internet with no data cap, legal cannabis concentrates (dabs and wax pens), and are currently accepting Americans?

Been there, done that.
Fix the shitty, half-assed HDR support first, then I’ll switch. It’s bare-bones and barely functional in Linux. On Windows you can even convert SDR YouTube videos to HDR in real time, right within Firefox. Linux doesn’t have anything like that yet.

Of course not, because there’s nothing to seed when you’re downloading a file directly from a server. I thought I already explained this.

For those with ADHD or just don’t have the time to watch:
He bought a Samsung Flip with a broken inner screen, removed the screen and split the phone in half, and turned it into a modern take on a slide phone.
To do so, he 3D printed a custom mold to replace the bottom half of the phone, and then shoved a Blackberry keyboard into it. Designed a custom hinge so that instead of flipping the phone open, you slide the keyboard out from behind and it drops below the cover screen—which is now the main screen—because he used a 3rd party launcher to make it behave as such. That way the phone is fully functional without the inner screen.
The only thing he didn’t do (nor did he attempt to), is figure out a way to move one or both of the cameras. Since the phone no longer flips open, the two main cameras are now both selfie cameras and their is no main camera(s).

If you’re going to pay money to pirate, you might as well skip the VPN and qbittorrent and just get a Debrid service instead. This gets you direct downloads to any torrent at gigabit speeds, without having to wait for seeds. Debrid takes the torrent client completely out of the picture.
All you do is copy and paste the magnet link into the Debrid site, and then directly download the torrent from your browser. It’s cheaper and much faster than a VPN + torrent client. And safer too because your ISP doesn’t see you sharing any illegal content (seeding the files is how they get you) nor using a VPN, so you can still pirate in places where VPNs are illegal. They just see you downloading large files from the internet. And since you’re not distributing anything (seeding), you’re staying within the law in most jurisdictions.

That’s some bullshit right there. Every day should be Bandcamp Friday. I understand charging a small 1-3% fee to cover server costs, but nothing more. Otherwise Apple is just another evil record label profiting off of peoples’ talent.

Yeah but I play at 4K and don’t accept anything less than 90-120 FPS (with DLSS, of course, since no GPU can handle native 4K gaming). Nothing from AMD can keep up with my 4090 in the RT department without sacrificing FPS, despite it being 2 years old now.

I wish I could switch back to AMD GPUs, but unfortunately I like Ray Tracing and RTX HDR way too much to go back. But in the 2000s and early 2010s AMD/ATi was my GPU of choice.

Fix the half-assed HDR support, and port the Nvidia App and Nvidia Control Panel. Then, and only then, will I finally switch.
