I was so upset when Hyundai said that they weren’t actually going to release the N Vision. I was really excited for that one cause they put so much work into making it look like an actual car you’d see on the road. I thought for sure it was coming out.
There’s always the new 400Z if you want a modern sports car with retro styling. But even that one still looks too modern… :/

Hmm well I played on and off for about a month and didn’t notice anything new.
Do you know if they plan on adding some new game modes? I’m already sick and tired of the whole “shoot bugs, rescue hostages/blow up objective, shoot more bugs then extract” thing. I get that a lot of shooters have a tendency to only have 2-3 game modes max, but those games at least have PvP to keep things interesting.

The game is very repetitive, anyway. I was bored after about 20 hours. By then you’ve already seen everything there is to see.
- Comment on Windows 10 reaches 70% market share as Windows 11 keeps declining 1 week ago:
If you have an HDR monitor, then 11 is worth upgrading to. AutoHDR makes things so easy; it just works. No need to even bother with calibrating anything; no need to worry about switching it off when going back to SDR content, either. All you gotta do is flip the “Use HDR” switch, set HDR tone mapping to “Auto” on your monitor, and then forget about it. That’s it, couldn’t be easier.
Meanwhile in 10, I have to turn off HDR every time I go back to SDR content, and in KDE, HDR doesn’t even work properly yet on my LG C1. Neither issue exists in 11.

I prefer Windows 11 for its superior HDR support. No other OS even comes close to making HDR as easy as 11 does.

One feature I found extremely useful is that you can now quote previous texts. Less useful is the ability to react to texts with emojis. But it’s good for letting someone know that you saw/liked their message by reacting with a thumbs up.

Or did you mean to say “leud”?
- Comment on Why is Windows 11 so annoying? 2 weeks ago:
I dual boot Arch but mostly use Win11, cause KDE’s implementation of HDR is even more fiddly and tedious. In 11, all I gotta do is enable the setting to use HDR, and it just works. I don’t even have to calibrate my display cause my monitor has a setting to automatically process HDR content for me. All I gotta do is leave in-game calibrations at their default setting, and the monitor does the rest. Literally couldn’t be easier. Win11 can even automatically convert SDR games to HDR (called “AutoHDR”), and my nVidia GPU can do the same for videos (streaming or local, unfortunately I can’t find the setting in the Linux Nvidia drivers). And it just works effortlessly.
So yeah, that’s why I still use Windows11. No other OS makes HDR so easy. (But TBF the monitor helps a lot too; LG C1, BTW.)
- Comment on Why is Windows 11 so annoying? 2 weeks ago:
I’m already aware of this (how could I not be? The story was on the front page for days) and I’m not worried about it. This isn’t the first time Microsoft has blocked alternative taskbars; somebody always finds a workaround.
- Comment on Why is Windows 11 so annoying? 2 weeks ago:
I would do the same, but then I’d have to go back to Win10’s laughably awful implementation of HDR support, and I can’t have that. So instead I downloaded SoundSwitch to fix your first issue, and installed StartAllBack to fix the second (you could also simply pin the Control Panel to the Start menu).

Yes I’m aware of this. I’m not telling other people to stay away from Linux over HDR. If you don’t care about it, then by all means feel free to use whatever OS you want.
- Comment on 4 weeks ago:
Well I don’t necessarily mean copy the graphics, but more of the gameplay of that era. A N64/GameCube-like title with modern graphics is what I’m looking for.
- Comment on Using StartAllBack? No Windows updates for you, says Microsoft 4 weeks ago:
I’ll switch once HDR support becomes mainstream in Linux. That and a Linux equivalent of AutoHDR (which is a Windows 11 feature that converts SDR videos and games to HDR). This is literally the only thing keeping me on Windows.

I wish that the N64 and GameCube era of Zelda got more love. 2D Zeldas are great and all (especially Link’s Awakening and Minish Cap), but most of my adolescent gaming memories were formed in the early 3D era so that’s what I cherish most. Yet most indie devs seem to be Gen-Xers who trying to cater to Zoomers who really seem to have a thing for the 2D era, despite having no memory of it.

I would but unfortunately I’m too spoiled by 4K 120Hz in HDR on an OLED. No other display technology comes even close to looking as good as an OLED does. Not to mention PC gaming at 4K120. Makes the PS5 look like a PS4.

I once saw a video of a farmer killing two cows. The second one saw what happened to the first, looked directly at the farmer, closed its eyes, and just accepted its fate. Didn’t freak out nor try to flee.
It knew. It fucking knew. Fucked me up so badly.

For me it’s the XP scrollbars that do it for me, cause I was sick and tired of the BSoDs I got during the Win9x era (especially in WinMe). I couldn’t wait to get a PC with the newer OS as a teen. It was considerably more stable for me (especially after SP2).
- Comment on Linux market share passes 4% for first time 2 months ago:
Such as? I love Windows 11 for Auto HDR alone. I never have to think about HDR at all in 11. It just works. In 10 the implementation was wonky at best. It often made things look worse so I literally never used it. Can’t wait for the dedicated Copilot key as well. 'Bout time they retired the useless Menu key. I don’t know of any Linux distro that integrates AI with the OS… Do you? Cause I’m still willing to switch so long as it has AI and a proper HDR implementation.
