I need this, cause vaping only lasts about 15 minutes and edibles have about a 25% success rate for me. Do all legal states sell these?
- Comment on ‘California sober’: marijuana may help you drink less, study finds 1 hour ago:
Agreed. No matter how many drinks I’ve had, the second I take a few tokes, my desire to continue drinking immediately stops.
- Comment on We have one at home 9 hours ago:
Also VLC requires you to curate a movie collection. I’m too old to keep doing that shit.
These days I use a Debrid service to steam torrents directly to my TV at gigabit speeds, with Stremio as my frontend to give me a Netflix-like experience. You get all the convenience of a modern streaming service, without the exorbitant fees nor the hassle of managing a Jellyfin server. Just fire up the TV and pick something to watch.

Okay, so the answer basically is that you can’t have multiple people working on overlapping bits of code, not without someone sorting it out first.
- Comment on Open Source Developers Are Exhausted, Unpaid, and Ready to Walk Away 1 day ago:
The part that confuses me is how can multiple people work on overlapping bits of code at the same time, and the Git manager (or whatever you call it) just handles it all without breaking everything?

- Comment on Sony cracks down on Concord custom servers, issues DMCA takedowns on gameplay videos 4 days ago:
It all comes down to Japanese peoples’ bizarre beliefs. They see modding their games as a shameful behavior because they compare it to theft/plagiarism. It’s the same reason why Nintendo is so god damn evil. In their eyes they’re doing the honorable thing by suing their own customer base.

Bitcoin saved me from losing everything. You’d have to be a god damn fool to claim that it doesn’t have its uses. Investing when bitcoin was worth $19K was the smartest decision I ever made. You’ll never convince me that it’s a scam.

Couldn’t agree more. Proof of Stake is the future of crypto.

I don’t want a console.

My biggest complaint about the Steam Deck is that it’s too underpowered, so yes, I would love a $1000 Steam Machine. Can we have a $3000 one too, please?
- Comment on Refrigerator ads are finally here! 6 days ago:
What the fuck do they even do? I thought they were supposed to scan the ingredients in your fridge, then tell you what’s about to expire and what recipes you can make. But apparently they can’t even do that, so what purpose do they serve that I can’t already accomplish by bringing my phone into the kitchen?
Can they at least monitor the temperature across different areas of the fridge, or connect to my power meter like my thermostat can and optimize power usage to be lower when electricity is more expensive? Or are they literally just an Android tablet glued to a fridge?
- Comment on Steam Hardware [new Steam Controller, Steam Machine, and VR headset Steam Frame, coming in 2026] 1 week ago:
Yet still only four face buttons. I don’t know why every controller manufacturer in existence refuses to bring back 6 button pads, even Valve. Instead they all just copy each others’ designs. Even Nintendo—once known for being innovative—is guilty of this. The Switch/Switch 2 Pro controller is literally just a crappier XBOX controller with digital triggers for some bizarre reason.
- Comment on What's a recent game you've tried playing that isn't worth the hype? 1 week ago:
Damn, remind me to never play them, then.
A good story shouldn’t need to be told through endless dialog boxes, it should be told through gameplay.

Yeah seriously, V gets so worked up over fucking everything and I just couldn’t give a fuck. Calm the fuck down and take your Xanax, V. You’re stressing me out over nothing.
- Comment on What's a recent game you've tried playing that isn't worth the hype? 1 week ago:
LOL I could have told you that before you spent the money.
Thankfully there’s a lot of good games that really shine on high-end hardware. Like that Indiana Jones game and the Spider-Man games. Also you never have to worry about games being an unoptimized mess when you can just brute force them with pure processing power.

- Comment on YSK tricks for one of the cheapest meals: beans and rice 3 weeks ago:
Mostly I just dint like the taste, but I guess I don’t like the texture of beans and many potato preparations either, now that I think about it.
- Comment on YSK tricks for one of the cheapest meals: beans and rice 3 weeks ago:
Wish I could but I can’t stand neither beans nor rice. Gotta have meat and green veggies in my meal.
That means that I only like chili without beans. At Asian restaurants I always ask for no rice and substitute noodles. The only beans I can tolerate are refried. So at Mexican restaurants I ask for no rice and double beans.
While we’re at it, I don’t like potatoes, either. I’ll eat them, but I won’t go out my way to order them, unless the alternative side dish selection is no better.

- Comment on Microsoft's decision to axe Windows 10 is driving Apple PC sales growth — users buy Macs instead of AI PCs despite Microsoft’s push for Copilot+ PCs 3 weeks ago:
Don’t know if it’s still there cause I haven’t used a Mac since 2007, but if you go to the Control Panel and then the keyboard is settings, there should be an setting to rearrange the function of the Control, Option, and Command keys so that they behave just like Control, Super, and Alt do in Linux and Windows.
- Comment on Study Claims 4K/8K TVs Aren't Much Better Than HD To Your Eyes 3 weeks ago:
This is true. That said, if can’t tell the difference between 1080p and 4K from the pixels alone, then either your TV is too small, or you’re sitting too far away. In which case there’s no point in going with 4K.
At the right seating distance, there is a benefit to be had even by going with an 8K TV. However, very few people sit slose enough to benefit from going any higher than 4K:

Switch to Stremio (with Torrentio) and never worry about running out of storage space again. Everything is streamed directly to your TV, no downloading necessary. Browse like it’s Netflix and just pick something then watch it. Plus there’s support for home theater enthusiasts with features like HDR, Dolby Atmos, 4K, etc.

$50 is a lot to spend on booze. I can just stay and home and black out on $5 with a beer and three 100 proof shooters.

How can anyone afford to go to bars anymore? Drinking at home is much cheaper.
