  I remember when Skype first came out, when I was a teenager. I called a random guy in Japan; he was learning English, I wanted to learn Japanese (as is tradition for teenage anime fans). It was a very kind series of calls, and we talked a bit about Japanese culture too. He taught me, rather patiently, how to pronounce certain basic words properly.
  It’s a shame the server was treated like it has been. There was great potential in connecting people.

  You’d get medicinal qualities, and a body relaxation, however you wouldn’t get a cerebral high as the THC is not processed in a way that would allow it (when used anally).

  I think that’s pretty much it. Future proofing seems to be the idea I’m getting, that and customisations/custom firmware. I used to have custom screensavers on one many years ago, which I’m going to do again.

  I’ve got an old Kindle, but not too old, which I jailbroke just yesterday with Winter break. I recommend that method for those considering getting drm free usage out of their device (instead of it contributing to ewaste).

  Are Pixelfed communities generally accepting of cannabis related content, or is that seen as a no go on most servers/connections made with an account?
  I recently started using Instagram here and there because of cannabis related communities and such, which they seem rather relaxed with at the moment (just to connect with folks), and a transition could start for me granted there is an opportunity for sensible cannabis communities to exist - I’m a medical user and it has to be a part of my life due to the required usage for my conditions, I hope this is understandable.

  Regardless of if the answer to my query isn’t favourable to me, I hope this platform expands and continues to gather a larger userbase.

  I’ve been to Bruges and it is always going to be one of my favourite places on Earth, and I’ve literally only been once and for a few days at best.

  Be careful with the lambic beer, is a warning I was given and one I give to everyone whilst there (since I visited back when I was able to drink alcohol). It’s too damn tasty, and very easy to be rather drunk before you even know it.

  Describe it however you want. If you have a decent barber, they should understand you fine and work with you.
  I’ve been shy, straight forward, and all manners of sides when asking for a haircut and the biggest issue has only been the occasional language barrier.

  Once you’re comfortable in a style it’ll be easier to use different wording, depending on how you want your style. For example: you most certainly can ask for clipper sizes, like “no. 2 on sides”, however if you don’t know what you want from the top you could just ask them “a bit short but matching the sides, if you know what I mean?”

  Some styles have different options, such as skin fades (usually medium or high here, indicating the point where the fade reaches on the side and back of the head). If you’re unsure definitely do not be afraid of asking, if any barber has an issue with working with you they aren’t the barbers you want as they’re likely to rush the haircut regardless of what you say (in my experience), or only know limited styles/lack broader experience in hairdressing.

  This article has completely missed a selling point of e-readers for people like myself: no constant refreshing.

  My eye strain, when reading for a long time, doesn’t come from the light (or lack thereof), which is evident as a positive of backlit Kindles and other e-readers, though the constant flicker of screens. E-ink solves this issue perfectly, and with every device in that article mentioning “60Hz” on their alternatives I feel as though they’ve missed a big point of having an e-reader and what exactly constitutes as “paper like” (it’s a lot more than just “low/no backlight”).

  These things being taken down is an eventuality no one can avoid, however if no one but Nintendo sees it, and takes it down, not many people will know about it.
  By spreading these things when they are good it encourages a lot of things. It encourages backups, communities dedicated to preservation of files or at least discussion of them (through piracy of course, though still counts). Making more people aware of them also makes some talented individuals realise that they have the capability to get into these things themselves. Etc.

  I for one had no idea about this prior to this post, and Super Mario: Sunshine is one of my favourite games, so I’m excited to try this mod out later.

  I went to Amsterdam over the weekend. The weather apps said it was gonna rain, did it fuck. I brought my puffer jacket and was almost dying from the heat until I got to the hotel room. Never had to wear it during the trip.
