Such colourful days :)

So I'm guessing they grabbed the %appdata% for Chrome and were able to get the passwords out of that?
- Comment on Cheap, but reliable SSDs? 6 months ago:
Not Sandisk. Had several just die with no recovery possible.
Kingston had a few failures but probably OK as a cheap one.
Only had one Samsung crash, so mostly sell those despite the premium these days. - Comment on YouTube is finally cracking down on third-party apps that enable ad-blocking 6 months ago:
Did you De-qualcomm it too, or not affected?

Nearly finished the same one. Was too cold though and my ender 3 kept warping the bob off the bed. Now it's warmed up again I should finish it.
If it's the same as mine, you had to buy a few ball bearings and steal the springs out of three pens to make it. Also had to use a chopped up fishing jag and a garden trellis for the rods.

In case you're wondering, some broadcast equipment, such as the Axia Radius, uses Ethernet sockets for the connection of balanced and unbalanced audio.
This simplifies cabling, but you need adapters at the end of each cable to go back to RCA, TTS, XLR etc.

Someone will create an extension to mute the ad and overlay it with suitably timed bite sized cat videos.
- Comment on Scrollbars are becoming a problem 1 year ago:
Yes.
I also like upvote and downvote separated. Some apps don't have that option.
- Comment on Scrollbars are becoming a problem 1 year ago:
A few pages have those. What don't you like about them?
- Comment on Scrollbars are becoming a problem 1 year ago:
They want you doom scrolling.
It's one reason I like kbin. I'll read to page 5 and that's my limit for a session. Endless scrolling is annoying.
- Comment on Scrollbars are becoming a problem 1 year ago:
I guess they think all trackpads do the two finger scroll now. Not always the case.

I suppose Microsoft Access has better options now you can define the steps in macros, but I think it's still needed for many of the more fiddly bits.

No worries at all. Both are words I hardly every use, and I was happy to be corrected if I was wrong.
The written word can be misinterpreted easily since it doesn't easily carry the audible nuances of the spoken word, or the visual cues of the speaker. We're always learning hey.

Good point. I had to DDG that one.
"... an acronym is a specific type of abbreviation formed from the first letters of a multi-word term, name, or phrase, with those letters pronounced together as one term. OPEC—or the O(rganization of) P(etroleum) E(xporting) C(ountries)—is an acronym because we pronounce it as one word, oh-pek."

Qantas qat and qaid being a few rare exceptions. (Qantas is technically an a abbreviation though.)

Yes. I was a bit stunned years ago to find there were two incompatible breeds of tp-link smart switches etc. Ended up going with Arlec / Grid Connect instead.
- Comment on Good News! Public tracking data used by defense contractors from space-track.org now officially shows Elon has lost over 5% of his fleet in 2 months. He can no longer keep up with launches. 1 year ago:
Why? While it's an energy intensive process to launch all these satellites, it's probably a lot less than the environmental cost of running a fibre connection to every customer who uses this service. Sure Musk is a bit dodgy, but he's not the majority owner of Starlink.

It's arguably less environmentally damaging to use starlink rather than to run a fixed fibre line to each rural property.

In on starlink because it's now the only half decent option. There is a fairly strong 4g tower reception but it's underprovisioned and gives less than 3mbps downloads. 25 up though. We did have ADSL for a long time but they've shut that network down.
