Japanese Fried Chicken? JFC
Looks like this is “Japang”. Terrible reviews online and described as actually a “ghost kitchen”.

Protecting their reality (the prime timeline) from the Loom is the main source of urgency right? That’s why they needed to get the Protostar to the right place, to protect the present.
Which creates the chilling thought that the “future” with Solum’s civil war would be consumed by the Loom.

One thing that’s going to bug me for a while is how Solum can progress peacefully without contradicting season one
Temporal Mechanics! ;-)

- Comment on Here's why modern gaming suuuuucks. 2 weeks ago:
My friend, I think you need to join us indie gamers, especially on PC. DRM free, minimal updates, small installs, high novelty and weirdness factors. I barely play anything “AAA” anymore and definitely nothing that does Games as a Service.

Regarding Janeway and Chakotay, they had similar moments in Voyager, too. At first she was thinking she’d get back together with her fiance Mark. Then eventually she decides that since she’s a captain on a small ship that’s isolated from the rest of the federation, she shouldn’t fraternize with the crew.
Also though, the two have a tight bond. Think about how long they’ve known each other, and what they went through together. I mean, she had her first officer infiltrate his ship after which they all got flung to the opposite side of the galaxy, and she made him the first officer. A lot of what we’re seeing use just that these two care so much about each other, not necessarily romantically.

Only 25%? I guess the UK must have better support for disadvantaged families than we do in the USA.

I wonder what Culber will think of bringing more people back from the dead other than himself.
Maybe using it to revive L’ak will exhaust the progenitor tech, so they can totally neatly wrap up this season’s McGuffin.

I’d say TOS was very very light on “personal drama”, which really ramped up from TNG onwards.
- Comment on Why games on YouTube now??? 3 months ago:
Games require engagement. You can’t get up from your desk or couch while still playing. You can’t fall asleep while actually playing. So compared to video, Google can sell more valuable ads on games in YouTube because they can guarantee to advertisers that “this person has their eyes glued to the screen, hands on mouse or controller, and their butt in the seat.”
Shorts is a less powerful version of the same idea. It’s also why long-form content is falling out of favor with the algorithm.

If they had ever somehow transitioned into a more episodic format, I think that would have been a lot of fun.

- Comment on ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Star Sonequa Martin-Green on the Show’s Unexpected Final Season, the ‘Pressure’ of Representation and Taking the ‘Trek’ Cruise 3 months ago:
I’m puzzled as to what more story they would have told had they been renewed. Not saying the show was bad, rather asking where would they have gone from here? When you’ve upgraded to moving anywhere in the galaxy instantaneously, you’ve traveled into the far future, rebuilt the federation, and you’ve conversed with aliens living outside of the galaxy, there isn’t much “boldly going” left in the formula.
Kind of like when all the characters in an anime get too powerful (DBZ), and it gets boring because you can’t raise the stakes any further.

g is a constant with units, so it can be expressed by different numbers. I think this works better with pie, 3.14, and 2.72. Unless the original quote uses “pig”…

I think any officer is likely able to override holodeck safeties. The enlisted probably no (though we barely see any). The civilians and guests on the ship shouldn’t for sure.
