I’ve moved a couple of domains to dnssec and it’s great, simple DNS.

Yeah I might have to try Ubuntu. I heard there are some improvements to KDE in 6.1 allowing RDP by default too.

Yeah I also haven’t found a good alternative for a windows management host for RDP. I use my last remaining windows box as an “admin host” and the Linux alternative to this would be vnc or xrdp, both of which have their issues (no dynamic resize, clipboard issues, session restore issues)… I’ve also tried x2go recently which is closer but still not as slick/simple as a windows RDP session.

I’ve had it up top for years. Windows 11 is unusable in the current state. The new shell is utter garbage. And they messed up the control panel even more than I thourght possible.

Yeah I use Sync for Lemmy connected to my own instance that myself and friends use. I have a VPS that I run it on, and it catches everything I’m subscribed to, it’s the only instance I “browse” on. I have accounts on other instances which I’ll fall back to if I CBF hosting Lemmy anymore.

Do you see any clear paths forward for a transition?
- Comment on How I accidentally slowed down my nextcloud instance for months 4 months ago:
That’s just how they work. They terminate SSL, and then connect to your source server as a client, this gives them access to read anything submitted to your or any other sites they manage in the clear.

Yeah I switched my primary search to DDG at about the same time. It just has more relevant reulsults, especially if you’re just looking for reference to some random API or library.
- Comment on Kaspersky/Securelist researchers detail zero-click iPhone exploit involving four distinct zero-day vulnerabilities, including undocumented hardware features in iPhone chips 5 months ago:
Yeah absolutely. This line from the article summs it up pretty well… ““What we do know—and what this vulnerability demonstrates—is that advanced hardware-based protections are useless in the face of a sophisticated attacker as long as there are hardware features that can bypass those protections.””

Yes I use it with Plex. Sonarr and Radarr handle the download and pass it off to Plex.

The code specifically looked for “Firefox” in your UA and started a 5 second wait timer. There’s no way it was a bug, you don’t just add idle waits into your website.
