This is brilliant. Please send them an email with this idea.
- Comment on Seriously good cold-climate heat pumps are headed to the US market 3 weeks ago:
We had great heat pumps in Montana already. And if it gets insanely (-38f) cold, there’s a resistive fallback mode. But I’d wager most places aren’t gonna get to 38 below.

Could have been worse, he wasn’t creampied like that anti-gay orange juice lady in the 70s or 80s.

Haha, that’s almost impressive. But no, I will not be buying an LG monitor now.
- Comment on New car buyers driven to white or grey, with bright colours rarer than ever, data shows 5 weeks ago:
Never buy a grey car. We had one during our childhood, it got hit four times by idiot drivers not watching the road. Most were distracted by phones, food, etc. Silver blends into the road fairly well.
- Comment on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Dev Says Big Budget Games Are Failing in Part Because Teams Are Over-Scoping Their Projects 1 month ago:
Single player games with a good story and fun replayability are what I’m after. Or co-op. Occasionally, a fun multiplayer with a risky, innovative design like Lethal Company.
If a game requires me to collect 100 goddamn feathers, or press X 20 times to “survive” a heavily scripted encounter, you are doing your game wrong. Look at Black Mesa, look at Subnatica. Look at the games that took risks like Lethal Company or Elite Dangerous. You don’t have to appeal to everyone. You have to tell a story well, and the gameplay should be unique and interesting. Larian understood that with Divinity 2, and made improvements to both story and gameplay in BG3.

Looks pretty good, though the lack of particle effects is a bit odd. There are no decals from skidding tires either. Perhaps just alpha footage.
- Comment on do ribbed condoms feel better than smooth during anal? 1 month ago:
They don’t really make much of a difference, imo. There are wearable products out there that can add a texture difference, but they are incompatible with condoms if you are trying to reduce the risk of STDs.
That said, there are many ways to spice up sex in new and fun ways, even outside of condom choice :)
- Comment on American tourists visiting the EU, what do you think of it? 2 months ago:
Really depends on where you go! Certain parts feel safer, other parts feel less safe (or less comfortable to walk through safely). I’m not going to name names, as I’ve only been to various countries for a bit at a time, it would be unfair to pass judgement on entire nations based off a small experience.
The public transit is usually a cut above. Some of the driving feels dangerous. The food prices are somewhat expensive, but the food is generally less UPF-laced.
The more relaxed culture around nudity is refreshing. The lack of large, wild parks is a bit disappointing (or perhaps we missed these entirely), but various nations seem to be catching on to rewilding. The history is fascinating, and europeans generally think much more long-term than Americans, but the bad blood also runs deep, which is a little worrying. I’m glad the EU keeps everyone together.
Overall, it’s fun to visit, it generally feels safe, cultured, and the transit is very great, particularly the train systems. It has it’s problems just like other places in Africa, North America, and Central America.
If I had to live in a non-english speaking country, I’d probably pick Spain. Wonderful people, great transit, a relaxed culture, and excellent food, though France and Germany give Spain a run for their money on several of these points.

I just finished the original yesterday, after 20 years of playing it! It was quite good, somewhat surreal to finally beat a childhood game.
- Comment on BMW Adaptive Suspension Can Be Added via Subscription. Suspension As A Service (SAAS) 2 months ago:
Not downvoting you, but what on earth would need a SQL server to use suspension? It would be far too slow for real-time applications, and this isn’t a rolls royce engine on a jet generating 1tb of data a second when all sensors are active and logging.
This is a mall-mobile that someone will probably total in a power center parking lot in Arizona.
- Comment on BMW Adaptive Suspension Can Be Added via Subscription. Suspension As A Service (SAAS) 2 months ago:
Lol, good luck with that. I’ll stuck with my dumb, subscription-less and app-less ebike. And still manage to beat cars due to insane traffic.

Deep sea mining is wayyyy too risky. There needs to be much more research before we wreck an ecosystem that supports the entire planet.

- Comment on Washington State Solar Project Paused Amid Concern About Native Cultural Sites 2 months ago:
While we need to race to get off carbon fuel sources to survive, we should probably try and build solar on human occupied spaces like parking lots, parking garages, mall roofs, drive throughs, highways, homes, offices, canals etc first. Save virgin land for wind, which might really need non-urban zones.

- Comment on Is there any actual standalone AI software? 3 months ago:
You can load up your own datasets, has some of its own, too. Most of these are pretty good, but run on synthetic data. Storing and processing something the size of chatgpt would bankrupt most people.
This program can use significant amounts of computer resources if you let her eat. I recommend closing other programs and games.
- Comment on Does voting for Biden change anything if I live in a deep red area of my state? (Ohio) 3 months ago:
Absolutely. Voting in federal, state, and local elections makes big differences. I’ve lived in red and blue states, and my votes have personally swayed policy for red and blue states. Some of the stuff I voted for passed on margins as slim as 1,200 votes, in a city of hundreds of thousands of people (guess how many of them voted?)
As a direct result of me voting, my life dramatically improved because my cut bus lines were restored, the feds rebuilt parts of my city, and people were no longer getting arrested on bullshit charges.
Further civic action saved one local park from redevelopment.
So few people actually vote, even fewer with bad takes. So voting can have a profound impact on your life and other’s lives. Some of my friends got the right to marry. Some others lost their ability to access healthcare and were forced to move states to access it again. It makes a difference.
This doesn’t end with Americans either. You guys worldwide have had a number of extremely close elections, see the list below. Do your civic duty and vote! It can take an hour or less with a bit of research, and has a surprisingly big impact on your life.
- Comment on Report: Resident Evil 7 on iOS has earned Capcom $28,140 since launch 3 months ago:
Eh. Not really interested unless I can play Halo 3 on my phone. And even then, the DRM on the MCC is so awful that it makes me constantly sign in on my steam deck.
Mobile gaming had it’s time in the sun with Plants Vs Zombies and Infinity Blade. It’s been downhill ever since with the rise of f2p gambling/lootcrate games. I don’t see mobile gaming ever coming back from that until regulations are much, much stronger.
- Comment on I don't have AC but my apartment lease covers unlimited water usage and the water is very cold. How can I best use this to cool my home? 4 months ago:
Just get a window AC if you have the right type of windows. Otherwise, a dual hose portable heat pump from costco or other reputable source.
- Comment on Does anyone else feel like fireworks are a complete waste of money and a ridiculous amount of unnecessary Pollution? 4 months ago:
About 41,000 Americans die in fatal car accidents, with another 289,000 injured in 2022 alone, from distracted driving. If we are going to be banning dangerous things, heavy consumer cars and trucks should probably be right up there.

- Comment on Apple Rumored to Be Working on AirPods With Built-in Cameras 4 months ago:
Yeah, it feels like no matter how much I spend on stuff like toasters, air fryers, or blenders, they just aren’t built like they were a couple of decades ago. It’s a drag to go through appliances that shouldn’t be disposable. Even high-end vaccums don’t last as long as they should, and when they do need parts, they are difficult to repair. Miele even got bought out, iirc.
- Comment on Apple Rumored to Be Working on AirPods With Built-in Cameras 4 months ago:
They need to take their talent and apply it to stuff that could actually use it, rather than rehashing stuff that is already good. An Apple clothes dryer that actually can sense dry clothes and doesn’t break easily. An apple garage door that doesn’t suck. An Apple Ebike that lasts ages and is repairable (and gets people out of their cars).
I think an Apple bidet could be neat. A toaster, too.
