There is nothing new under the sun…
I guess thats why gastro restaurants that are using wild cooking techniques to come up with new dishes and flavours combos.
Foam?
But dishes most people cook in their own home have legacies reaching far beyond time.
Take the Pavlova. Legend has it that it came from the long long ago, in the mist of times of Australia, long before any NZ bastard tried to steal it from us.

It’s fairly well-known historical fact that fascists don’t understand art.
I used to think that as well but when I discovered Dali absolutely fucked up and convoluted political views, well I don’t know anymore.
Fucker refused to denounce the fascists. Sucked up to Franco and the king.
Then again if anything it shows that conservatism is a mind virus and could infect anyone, especially as you get old. You have to be on guard, especially if you suffer surgery, a illness, stroke or cardiovascular disease.
I have to admit the older I get the easier it is to succumb to lazing thinking, presumptions, prejudice, especially when you’re presented with limited information. You have to be actively reminding yourself to apply critical analysis, understand the subtext, thibm about what their not showing.
I don’t forgive older people who are racist cunts. But I can see how easy it is to fall into that way of thinking.
Protect your old people. Block fascist and racist channels on their YouTube and other social media when you’re asked to fix something. To into their email and block the domains of known racists.
Clear, clean, their environment of the fuckers and back them up, pull them into a better politics.

I share the author’s nostalgia for Telnet, as a kid who spent many lost hours trying to telnet into “interesting things” at the dawn of the internet.
We had a transmitter on our building for satalite backhaul. I used to have fun using it to telnet into various stuff in orbit.
You’d be surprise at how many times they didn’t even bother with credentials.

suicides(en.wikipedia.org/…/Catholic_Church_sex_abuse_case…
“Church officials followed a “playbook for concealing the truth”, minimizing the abuse by using words like “inappropriate contact” instead of “rape”.”
And that’s with a head buried in the sand approach that US authorities take with religion ie it has to be so blatant and undeniable before they’ll investigate.
However from Ireland to Australia in those two countries alone the Catholics abused tens of thousands of children. There are as many or more cases in the US and yet its clear the authorities are happy to pretend otherwise.
Worse the abuse and active protection and cover up went to the Cardinals themselves, both Cardinal Pell and Clancy were rapists and rape protectors.
Southern Baptist Churches
SBC’s executive committee, detailing that SBC leaders had stonewalled and disparaged clergy sex abuse survivors for nearly two decades. It also listed the named cases that involved the admission, confession, guilty plea, conviction, judgement, sentencing and registered sex offenders. It did not include cases that did not relate to sexual abuse nor cases that ended in acquittal. The report listed more than 700 entries within the parameters

The leadership of religiious organisation are devoid of the moral and ethical leadership their organisations claim is a God given.
It is little surprise they are happily refusing to mount any meaningful protests against the Trump regime.
Shit the the closest I’ve seen religious organizations protests the Trump regime was the grassroots spontaneous protest of various clergy in the Minneapolis to stop airlines from running ice deporting/transfer flights.

Why is everyone jumping on this. It’s a congressional research report. It’s not even spearhead by a particular party or politician.
It’s simple report that says we’re not making enough subs so instead sell some b-21 raiders to the Aussies.
I’m surprised no one even saw that part.

do not trip when your neighbours are having a huge domestic violence incident
-
do not watch 8 hours of simpsons/futurama commentaries. For the next 8 hours after that I had David X Cohen and Matt Groening narrating everything I was doing in my house.
-
test your acid. 5 bromo dragonfly (dob) when you’re thinking you’re getting LSD is no fun.
Microdosing is great, both for cognitive stuff, pattern recognition and for deep analytical work.
As well for mood and well being.

It was the first and last I tripped at work.
And yes it was a horrible waste. My computer screen was one big magic eye with text turning into strange forms (little dragons).
I used to work the phones as well. I have no idea how I managed to tech support tripping balls.
