- Comment on Americans are holding onto devices longer than ever and it’s costing the economy 1 week ago:
i dont really know much about economics like that but,
when you say it like this, i am wondering if the fact that they reinvest at all more often, is a reason for the gdp growth
or is upgrading equipement not counting towards gdp?
but it feels reasonable that buying more -> more orders -> more economy -> more gdp -> buying more…

what this is not a always complain situation. These banners are designed to annoy you. A competent non corrupt goverments respond would be to make rules so the design would not suck, and not remove them. But these ghouls dont work for the people anymore.

capitalism was kind of never democratic i think, considering so much is basically dictated by the people who “own” it, which feels more like a dictatorship/ feudalism

I think maybe a good comparison is to written papers/ assignments. It can generate those just like it can generate code.
But it is not about the words themself, but about the content.

- Comment on Amazon is making it impossible to remove the DRM from Kindle Books 2 months ago:
It annoys me so much that they have convinced anyone that this stuff is for protecting against piracy of something like that, while this is just another tool for them to force you into using their platform and ecosystem. It does nothing against piracy.
