I mean, she chose to do it. You're not the one that got her pregnant, that's on her and your father. Personally, I wouldn't feel any guilt for that, she shouldn't keep bringing it up, that's a little weird. C-sections are pretty insane though,

So, it might not be as bad as certain women describe it? I mean, periods sound pretty rough, especially for those with endometriosis, I'd expect that squeezing a couple kilos of bone and flesh out is pretty shit too. I personally wouldn't want any part of that sort of thing, controversial, I know.
- Comment on Bethesda announces a new Fallout... reality show 2 weeks ago:
I mean, the show is decent enough, it was the first Fallout related thing I ever consumed, got me to play the games. Still think that this is pretty unrelated to that though. Not sure it'll succeed.
- Comment on Bethesda announces a new Fallout... reality show 2 weeks ago:
I mean, you can just ignore Sanctuary and the other settlements completely. Honestly, if I play it again, that'll be what I do.
- Comment on Bethesda announces a new Fallout... reality show 2 weeks ago:
That's fucking stupid. Why? Who asked for this? Just make the damn games. Maybe I'm biased because I think this sort of thing is unentertaining trash, but I legitimately don't think that Fallout fans like this sort of thing.
- Comment on Bethesda announces a new Fallout... reality show 2 weeks ago:
Besides the main story (an incredible important element), it was good. The location lore was interesting. The radiant quests were fucking stupid. Most of the side quests were decent. It's overhated imo. Nuka-Cola World was boring as shit besides the Hubbologists, I'm not gonna lie.

Individuals with autism and other differences deserve to exist in the future. My brother and I were born with autism, my brother was born with much higher support needs. Yes, there can be challenges, of course there are. But he's happy enough, and I'm not sure he would be happier as a neurotypical. My parents? Well, they might've preferred he not be.
Personally, I'd never choose to born without my autism or ADHD, because it's arguably a part of who I am. If I was born without either, my life would be unrecognizable.
Would I choose to be born with Down Syndrome? I don't know. I've never had it. I might've been a happier person. Might've had way worse of a life.
I'd ask some people with it if they'd rather been born without it. Is it not immoral to remove a potential part of their being without their consent?Let me be clear, I'm sure that plenty of both groups would prefer to have never had it. A majority, I don't know, not sure any surveys or studies have been done on the matter. Not sure there's any way to prove that the issues on either side outweigh the other.
On the discrimination, don't you think that plenty of people will be doing this because of their prejudices?
Also, the original question WAS just a question. It was a bit suggestive, my apologies. I was a bit tired.

Would you prefer that autistics and those with down syndrome cease to exist?
- Comment on First-In-Human Trial Of CRISPR Gene-Editing Therapy Safely Lowered Cholesterol, Triglycerides 2 weeks ago:
Allowed, sure, just don't think it's a good idea to completely change who you are. I want humans to be recognizable as such. I'm more worried about what parents will be doing to their children, that's where the eugenics shit becomes a problem. Getting rid of "undesirable" traits and whatnot.
- Comment on First-In-Human Trial Of CRISPR Gene-Editing Therapy Safely Lowered Cholesterol, Triglycerides 2 weeks ago:
Shit's going to get pretty weird imo. Hopefully it isn't used for eugenics purposes (it probably will be, let's be honest). I don't think that people should be able to change so many things that they become unrecognizable, but I can understand changing a few things per person, voluntarily, obviously.

Never thought of that, but personalizing objects is kind of cute, I agree.

Better than some languages like German, where even inanimate objects have gender. That would be nicer though.
- Comment on If you're a parent, how do you prevent your kid from watching AI slop? 3 weeks ago:
Just teach them how to use the internet safely and properly. Not to say their age and their address, not to add random people on discord, stuff like that. If you isolate your kids from the internet, then at this point in time, you're kind of isolating them from a decent chunk of human culture, which from personal experience (anecdotal, not very useful, I know), is a terrible idea. I was raised Mormon, I know how restricting access to things goes for kids. They'll end up buying a phone off of a friend with less of an idea of how to use it safely. Maybe check their youtube homepage once in a while, make sure it isn't slop, ask them about what they're doing on there, answer any questions they have. Might wanna filter some stuff before middle school though. Block gore sites, those tend to fuck people up quite a bit.

Indeed. DE branched off from Epic Games in the 90s, I believe. Obviously took a more ethical direction.

Not really, no. It's clear that Epic took way worse a direction than Digital Extremes.

Oblivion is pretty unbalanced imo. It was a good game, but designed strangely. I personally think that difficulty should just be about the player taking more damage, not enemies taking less as well. Leveling up making the game harder was also interesting. Worth playing though. I think I started on the medium difficulty and stayed there tbh.
- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 2 months ago:
Yeah, I completely understand that. Sometimes you're not trying to bust your ass for some cool items, just easier to do that (idk if this is how weapons in Elden Ring work, haven't played it yet). I used to allow myself to lower the difficulty significantly in Fallen Order for one specific boss, which, imo, is fucking awful, even on medium (Knight) difficulty. I replayed the game about a week ago on the highest difficulty, and while some sections were harder than others, I only got hit once and beat it on my first try. It felt good to beat everything in the supposed hardest possible way that was intended. Having fun is the only thing that really matters, and I think that a decent amount of people have seemed to forget about that.
- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 2 months ago:
Almost never. I've stopped even changing difficulties for difficult boss fights. Gives me more satisfaction and makes me feel better at games than I actually am. If I die 24 times and manage to get it on the 25th, then at least I was actually able to do it eventually. Just more fun imo. No shame in it though, just a personal preference.
