Or when they find out that their phone has like 30 other sensors used in conjunction with the GPS for tracking that can’t be “switched off”.
Or that switching off GPS is only switching off the transmission of the data, not the collection of it on the device which then stores it all to be transmitted as soon as you turn the toggle back on.

Nobody here is trying to sell you on one of these, you just jumped in to tell us how you cant fathom why someone would want one and were offered a reasonably common use case as an answer.

Log in every day? Many, if not most, smart thermostat apps have location based features to automatically handle the use case OP had mentioned. You can set it up one time and pretty much never need to interact with it again.

New content and major balance changes are slow to roll out, but they’ve always been worth the wait IMO, and you can see the devs passion to make a great game come through with the amount of detail and care they take with new features.
Plus they’re very connected with the community and balance stuff has more or less always been received positively (though there’s always going to be a few haters.)

I picked it up ~a year after launch and, while fun, it still had so many issues and lacked polish that it was hard for to recommend it to anyone.
It only got a lot of fixes and QoL stuff added relatively recently, so you picking it up now is probably for the best.

Why would you want to keep playing if the company running it sucks so hard? Seems more like you’re just trying to scam people into paying for your addiction.
If your story is true then it seems like now is a good time to move on to another game or hobby rather than giving more time and money to a sleazy company that doesn’t respect it’s players in the slightest. 🙃
