  This is a perfect representation of how my mind is laid out. Everything is a tree with things connected together by feelings/relations. Individual events are painful to keep track of (wife constantly tells me that we’ve already had conversations multiple times). Superfluous detail is lost immediately.

  But how a certain function in code breaking can ripple to the whole system is as natural as I breathe. Random trivia facts too, since they were novel enough to connect at the cool thing to know node. What someone wore yesterday or where the ketchup is (I don’t eat ketchup) is just completely filtered out. Couldn’t describe peoples faces but I know them when I see them. 99% of those “celebrity lookalike” things look nothing like them and I get baffled how people can confuse them, but I’d assume it’s from them visualizing the celebrity with some error

  I don’t see how it’s Valves problem. They are a marketplace and essentially rent a store front to developers. Forum moderation for a specific game should be up to the developer/publisher.

  It’s like if you rented a spot in a stripmall, and you want the stripmall owner to come clean the floors when people come into your shop and piss on your floor. Don’t want to manage your own forum, then disable user posts entirely.

  As someone who played an unhealthy amount of Rocket League, the transition from paid to free to play ruined the game. The sheer amount of smurfing was disgusting.

  I’d argue that a custom board is more wasteful since they are single use. Using a cheapo COTS processor that drives a single display and runs Linux is reusable in the long run.

  Can’t find the quote, but a similar vein when talking about Counterstrike pros. Basically if you have the question of “should I try to go pro” you already aren’t dedicated enough to make it.

  I wanted to like it, I really did, but between the buttons being too small and clustered together and accidentally hitting the touch pads it just wasn’t the controller for me. Mostly played Rocket League when I got it and the number of times I’d shitflip or accidentally turn off ballcam was too high
