- Comment on Trump reveals he has no idea how to pay the $10K he promised air traffic controllers who kept working through the shutdown 2 weeks ago:
The question now is what happens when he fails to pay. will they strike or will we just forget about it all? I have a feeling it will be the latter.
- Comment on Elon Musk says Optimus will 'eliminate poverty' in speech after his $1 trillion pay package was approved 2 weeks ago:
As aneengineer he is the worst kind of marketing rep. His BS claims have to be back filled and it never works. “Requirements by Press Release”
- Comment on Elon Musk says Optimus will 'eliminate poverty' in speech after his $1 trillion pay package was approved 2 weeks ago:
there are also people who make their living by following rich people to get them to fund projects. I read about construction companies that would follow Trump around and have people slip him ideas so he felt he was this amazing business man. All the politicians are following this method.
You know that people do this with Elon and any other rich person. Stroke the king’s ego by pretenting it was all their idea and get rich off of it.
- Comment on Microsoft seemingly just revealed that OpenAI lost $11.5B last quarter 4 weeks ago:
The problem is there is little continuous cash flow for on prem personal services. Look at Samsung’s home automation, its nearly all online features and when the internet is out you are SOL.
To have your own Github Copilot in a device the size and power usage of a Raspberry Pi would be amazing. But then they won’t get subscriptions.

Yeah but did he really need to hire an evil singer for the National Anthem? Could have found just a normal conservative singer but no, he only hires pedos and sociopaths.

i would just imagine one nuetral idiot would accidentally fall in the mix. But no, he is like a bad guy in a cartoon where the janitorial staff, the pets and even the house plants are evil monsters.

I am amazed at how every single person connected to Trump end up being a horrible individual. You would think by sheer luck he would find one person who is NOT a monster. Dude is batting 1.000 for picking ghouls.
- Comment on Amazon is making it impossible to remove the DRM from Kindle Books 2 months ago:
i was dumbfounded that so many people stood up against Disney. it was so opposite of what modern americans do.
- Comment on Java at 30: How a language designed for a failed gadget became a global powerhouse 5 months ago:
java was my 5th language, having just missed it as the AP CS language in highschool by a year. oddly i could not get behind such a massive standard library having come from BASIC, Pascal C++, ASM, VHDL. now after 30 years of programing i write Java web services for a living. feels strange.
- Comment on Xitter Pause Encrypted DMs. 5 months ago:
this should be the default stance when using any built in encryption. always separate the mode of encryption from the mode of transmission.
- Comment on Trump says a 25% tariff "must be paid by Apple" on iPhones not made in the US, says he told Tim Cook long ago that iPhones sold in the US must be made in the US 5 months ago:
nah they just need to survive the storm for a yeas and a half and start funding dems house races. far cheaper than allowing you to repair your device.
- Comment on Netflix will show generative AI ads midway through streams in 2026 6 months ago:
