- Comment on Why Americans Can’t Buy the World’s Best Electric Car 2 weeks ago:
State sponsored capitalism is what everyone does. The only reason Tesla even exists is because of US government support
- Comment on YSK that apart from not having a car, the single greatest thing you can do for the climate is simply eating less red meat 3 weeks ago:
I mean it’s really funny you asked permission to call me dumb, lol. “Carbon footprint” was a term invented by BP. The red meat industry is a methane polluter, but while we can estimate how much methane a cow produces, the oils and gas industry have no idea how much they lose. like they don’t even keep track of how much methane gets just wastefully vented into the atmosphere. youtu.be/K2oL4SFwkkw

Until Exxon and BP are no longer in business and global shipping transitions to zero emissions, there is nothing an individual human can do that will have an impact in any way on global climate. They problem is systemic, not individual

There is no goal other than to keep taking. They couldn’t stop even if they wanted to. It only ends when life becomes so miserable for enough people that violence becomes the only answer

Republicans are really determined to make life as awful as possible, and the democrats in power are fine with it.

I’m sorry, did anyone think fracking was safe?
- Comment on Happy No-more-USA Day 3 weeks ago:
The state necessarily has a monopoly on violence; it’s part of what makes it the State. But what choice do the People have when the power of the state is seized by a group determined to use that power against its own population? The USA is famously “invasion proof” but there is nothing in place to protect us from such abuse. The only response that could stop a protracted guerilla style resistance is the total dissolution of the senate and house with immediate emergency elections to replace 100% of the members

If you mix ammonia and bleach, and pump balloons full of it, when the balloons pop it releases some bad fumes
- Comment on The Los Angeles Police Department shot an Australian reporter with a rubber bullet while she was live on TV. Zero provocation. 1 month ago:
While I detest violence in all forms, and respect peaceful protest and the power of the ballot box; it seems like the current administration is doing everything it can to disenfranchise the voters of this country, and preemptively using violence against peaceful protesters. I hope things don’t tip too far, because while Americans don’t riot like the French at the drop of a hat, there is an enormous amount of anger simmering among the working class people in this country, and I’d hate to see that erupt. If it does come to a head it will make the Paris riots like a sunny day on Lake Geneva.

This article is 2 years old, I live here and I haven’t seen them yet. They’ll have to be accompanied by human officers anyway, cause NYers will absolutely destroy these things if they catch them alone

Regulations, and safety laws, and labor laws are WRITTEN IN BLOOD. People have literally died for every regulation we have on the books, it’s WHY the laws were written

We went to Centennial park in Atlanta and were actually relieved to see the National Guard deployed there (summer 2020) because it meant that we would be less likely to be shot
