- Comment on It makes me shudder 3 days ago:
I am in the “i dont have autism, i am autism” camp because i consider stereotypical autistic behavior to be “autisms”.
When neurotypicals start saying “they or everyone also have a little autism” what i understand is they have 1 or 2 autisms but besides those scenarios they are completely within classic norms. The difference then with someone like me is there is no situation in my life where i am not actively experiencing one or more autisms. I have never known anything else and is therefore a core part of my identity.
This said, i would so much prefer that everyone used the term neurodivergent instead and left the term autism for professional medial diagnosis only.

Not hard at all. Its basically a debian system that you can access trough the browser with your main pc from which you can make different vms and lxc (vm but smaller and more efficient)
Every service or project gets its own lxc, all lxc share hardware resources automatically.

I recommend proxmox!

Or hear me out,
Buy one that stores its data only on your local network and does not rely on corporate cloud or servers in any way or form.
This counts for all most all consumer home technology.
People should think about a NASS or Home servers like they do about owning a vehicle.

Not Open Source…
It is considerably more open and build on open source technologies and they do want to become decentralized “once the open protocols mature (?)” but still, can someone educate the kids on software freedom please.

There is no single sign something is ai.
There are a hundred smaller signs that include both em-dashes, flattery and redundancy.
- Comment on The word "meme" had been hijacked by ignorants. 3 months ago:
Just because we have one common use of the word meme doesn’t mean it loses its older use.
Words can be context bound to mean different things at once.
The older use may be considered archaic but like the word “archaic” I happen to really like those words.

There is no way i can imagine such box that makes sense.
People that use single use straws more likely require bulk and large numbers of single use items should never be economically expensive to produce.
In large enough numbers a thin plastic wrap could make sense.

I am just assuming but would this not very dependent on the like of work?
Its probably fine for most things but lets say forensic lab or virus research?

For what crime?
Describing the desire to commit a crime? Not illegal
Writing fantasy about a world beyond the restrictions of current day moral laws? Not illegal
Jokingly telling ai you did a crime to see how it would react? Not illegal.
Is this the same guy that said he wanted us all to have personal, unrestricted models at some point?

Reality is not a stage. Real world actions have real consequences.
Even if it is a character, he thinks playing it out in real life is an acceptable thing to do and does it. If you express racism you are a fascist. It is just as bad.
A narrow focus on mars at all cost says much more about the other parts of his narcissism and general intelligence.
- Comment on Why should I have to feel sympathy for junkies? 6 months ago:
Drug addiction is a mental illness. And no healthy person wants to become a drug addict.
When there not high they spiral in a constant bad mood, It changes how people are, the actual personalities repressed by a primal zombie like craving.
It can happen to you, your mom, your kids.
- Comment on Does anyone else find it suspicious that there wasn't any criticism on here about Stop Killing Games until after it hit 1.4M signatures? 7 months ago:
The implication that “games as a service” is somehow a positive for game preservation is its own kind of illiteracy.

Its a completely different form of entertainment, way more similar to watching tv.
The main difference is you dont need to plan or think yourself, your mind can take a break just following whats going on. This can be much more restfull and relaxing.
Compare that to activity playing the game and your using much more energy, your brain is calculating every interaction you have to make. It can be stressful at times. A loss can feel like lost time but a win gets you a high you will never get when backseat gaming.
Completely different and up to personal preference on how people like to spend their downtime.

This is how science fiction is made! Special Meta materials and grossly under-explored, It seems reasonable that in a future high tech society they would be increasingly common.
Mostly we get “faster engines and advanced computermachines that sometimes perform unexplained magic”

Am I confused on why people are overcomplicating the math and adding assumptions to a clear given.
-
60 applications a day.
-
Half of them (30) buy something.
-
Makes 300 per day.
-
They make $10 per vending customer.
-
We can safely ignore operating costs and sementics to conclude this is massive ragebait.
