Yeah that’s probably for the best. I say this with no judgement as a former WoW addict. It’s the time to do shit in the real world and get organized to resist these Fascist. Hit up PSL (Party for Socialism and Liberation) or DSA (Democratic Socialist of America) in your area. If anything it will give you a social life on Friday/Saturday (usually when they have meetups for PSL in my experience). PSL in my area even organized child care during meetups/protests.
Also, your local SRA (Socialist Rifle Association) if you have one. Basically the only place to train with a weapon that isn’t filled with MAGA hats. But they have literally been overwhelmed since November so might have to deal with hogs in another course if you’re interested in that. Again, depends on your location.
That’s my experience trying to explore real life anyway. Your path might be different. Plenty of mutual aids to join. Lots of local organizations of any kind our leading the charge to resist ICE. Depending on your location that might even be a Church. Find out what works for you in your area.

Harsher moderation followed by a bot farm the richest man payed for to report every account that is critical of Nazis.
I’m not even kidding. At this point the amount of comments on Lemmy that I’ve read that had 10+ year old Reddit accounts banned for “inciting violence” is crazy. I was one of them a few months ago. Told a dude denying a Nazi salute was a Nazi salute to “go to hell where Nazis belong”. Was banned within an hour. Permanent and IP/Metadata banned. Instant response of “no” to my unban request.
This is not a unique experience either. Leave reddit like it’s the plague.

I lived in a small town in the Netherlands for 3 months last year for work. Never once needed a car. You’re imagining a world where youre not using a car in a world built for cars. Do they have their use. Sure. But the scale at which we use them and the world that we build around their use needs to be done away with.
- Comment on Teslas have been consuming a lot of gasoline lately. 1 week ago:
Or you could use literally any form of public transportation and kick the ass of both. ICE or not cars are just a stupid waste of space and resources. They need to be phased out. As a “lefty” I have never advocates for electric cars. They were always a distraction to try to keep car based infrastructure alive.

- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 1 week ago:
Dude. I think you need to pick up a history book. Denazification is not Putin. It’s the term to describe post WW2 Germany. And yes, it’s authoritarian rule by another state over a state that committed a fucking genocide.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 1 week ago:
I would say the major difference between the genocidal actions of the American state and the Israeli state is that the citizens of the US are largely distanced from it. Both in terms of media but also more importantly geographically. Because of this the Israeli state not only has to manufacture consent for passive acceptance but actively manufacturer concent for the war crimes that every citizen can hear every night in Gaza.
This leads to a much more sick society in terms of dehumanizing Palestinians.
You seem to think I’m looking at this from some “good vs. bad” dynamic. I am not. I am only looking at the degree to which the state has manufactured concent in the population and that degree is to such an extreme in the Israeli society. It exists in America as well. But is primarily done through distractions, through their “toys”. Israel is different in this way. The population is not just (on average) distracted and xenophobic; they have reached a degree of dehumanizing Palestinians that will poison it’s population for generations.
Also, the comparison between voting for Trump and Israel is just not reasonable at all. Trump is not a genocide that you can hear happening as bombs are dropped every night. The material circumstances are just not comparable. I’m not saying Trump and his actions will not hurt people. Again, I’m talking about the degree to which concent needs to be manufactured. And most Americans won’t notice until someone in their family gets sent to a camp.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 1 week ago:
Do you think that Nazi Germany didn’t need Denazification?
The population of Israel is heavily in support of a return to Genocide in Gaza. The vast majority that aren’t are only against it because the hostages are still there.
reuters.com/…/israelis-say-hamas-must-be-crushed-…
Only 10% of Israelis believed the IDF was using “too much firepower” in December of 2023. The time in which Israel was bombing heavily and dropping white phosphorus on civilian areas.
There was a large protest in Israel not “against rape” but against the potential conviction of an IDF soldier who had raped and killed a Palestinian ON VIDEO. This led to a large protest that overan the detention center. The Israeli people literally protested to protect a rapist. Oh and the rapist is now a media personality in Israel.
mondoweiss.net/…/the-main-suspect-in-the-sde-teim…
This is not a population that is victim to it’s rulers. This is a population that largely supports the genocide of Palestinians.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 1 week ago:
I’m gonna give the unpopular take online and say that religion is not the source. Religion is only a tool that is often used negatively within class struggle. The source of Israel today is so much more ingrained in white supremacy, colonialism, and class conflict that I just can’t say that “banning” religion would be at all helpful.
The religion and hope of the Palestine people is a core part of their resistance and their struggle. And while I’ll always be against fundamentalist interpretation of religion in the hands of the ruling class; I just think a focus on religion as being the ultimate problem is incorrect and unhelpful.

Allowing Zionist to redefine the word and just “becoming anti semitic” is a really bad take. Maybe I’m missing the intent of your comment. I’ll be good faith and assume you just wrote this badly.

By pure numbers it is mostly compromised of evangelical Christians. There are significantly more evangelical Christians that are Zionist than there are Jews.

I love when people try to make some type of comparison between one fascist foreign policy party and another like one is better.
This is American foreign policy. It is bipartisan. The only difference between Biden and Trump on Israel is the aesthetics.
There is absolutely no reason to guilt anyone for not voting for the administration that was currently supporting a genocide or one that voted for the one that would support one in the future. US foreign policy is bipartisan.

Get better at fed posting. It’s a little too obvious.
- Comment on Israel publicly announces genocidal intent 2 weeks ago:
The entire country is sick. The ones in power need to be held accountable and the population as a whole needs a “Denazification”. Something that will require generations of reeducation to undue the fascist ethnostate that has indoctrinated children from birth.
Separating this Fascist state from Jewish identity is one of the most important things to do as well. One of the most antisemitic things being done today is when Israel commits genocide and pretends it is doing it for Jews. It is disgusting.
- Comment on Plex is locking remote streaming behind a subscription in April 2 weeks ago:
That’s just not correct. Mate. It’s setting up a secure route from the client to your Plex server. It’s essentially doing what Tailscale does but just handling the client setup automatically via their Plex authentication. They are authenticating the connection and setting up the route from the client to the server. They are not handling petabytes of data people are streaming.

Unless Jellyfin becomes more plug and play Plex will be fine. I like Jellyfin but there is a reason Plex is still around. People are willing to pay for how user friendly it is. Every time I’ve reinstalled Plex it just works with no issues. I can literally set it up at a friend’s house once and never have an issue ever.
With jellyfin Its just never been that experience.

My dude if you are connecting from outside your local network you are “exposed” to the Internet in some way. What magic are you thinking Plex is doing? Is someone hand deliverying the packets via USPS?
- Comment on Plex is locking remote streaming behind a subscription in April 2 weeks ago:
Why is this getting upvoted? Plex isn’t running a server. You are. Your computer and your media files are quite literally “the server” that is serving the files to you remotely. Plex is at best doing authentication.

- Comment on Tesla Autopilot drives into Wile E Coyote fake road wall in camera vs lidar test 2 weeks ago:
The software likely disengaged because the wall was so close it could not function. It would be the same as if an object suddenly covered up the camera while you were driving. It would turn off the autopilot/FSD or whatever they call it.
- Comment on Tesla Autopilot drives into Wile E Coyote fake road wall in camera vs lidar test 2 weeks ago:
This is likely what happened. The software hit an invalid state that defaulted to disengaging the autopilot feature. Likely hit an impossible state as the camera could no longer piece the “wall” parts of the road with the actual road as it got too close.
Likely an error condition occured that would happen in the same way if an object suddenly covered the camera while driving.

I think the definition of progress is misdirected specifically because of capitalism. It is a truly sick and broken society that spends more effort going to space than it does to provide lunches in school or daycare for children.
I would argue that things like space exploration actually fuel the working class to better notice the contridictions.
“Progress” use to be a tool of distraction. But we are overwhelmed with distractions every day. Our life is filled with distractions as we scroll through our phones. I would agree with you historically that progress in technologies or discoveries have given us “toys” to keep us distracted. But Mars? Mars is nothing but a massive “fuck you” to working class people that can’t afford eggs.
