How funny if we revert back to tons of search engines and web rings… Frankly that might not be the worst.
- Comment on PC gamers spend 92% of their time on older games, oh and there are apparently 908 million of us now 2 weeks ago:
I got a steam deck on the way and I’m so stokes for Suikoden. I hope they remaster number three!
- Comment on Brave CEO rants about "lefties," "glowies," George Soros 4 weeks ago:
You’re right and it’s so fucking annoying. I really want someone to jump into the niche and provide support for those of us who get to remember how to sysadmin again.
I don’t want/need “plug and play” but I also don’t really have time to relearn everything I knew “in a prior life.”
Suggestions? At this point I’d love to have a backend for my email that isn’t Microsoft.

If someone lacks the intellectual curiosity to question their own beliefs, they’re fucking dumb (and probably lazy). That’s the first box, assuming “easily duped” means what we all know it means.

- Comment on Woolworths and Coles are emphasising the threat of Aldi — is it really a competitive force to be reckoned with? 4 months ago:
I fucking love Aldi. I shopped there when I was poor as hell in college and I’d still go there now if they had any nearby. Sure their selection is limited but what they have is legit and their deals are phenomenal.

Some of yall just need to stop with your “cable maintenence” and “airflow” or you’re gonna give the rest of us a complex. 😁
Some of those setups are tight. I’ll post my janky ass “comm closet” when I get home later.
- Comment on Is it possible to install my own OS on a "smart" TV? Is that a thing? 4 months ago:
HD audio pass through ended up being reason I went with the shield pro. But it’s not “cheap” at ~$200 per unit. I still think that’s cheaper than a dedicated mini PC or something though (was really the only other option).
- Comment on Is it possible to install my own OS on a "smart" TV? Is that a thing? 4 months ago:
Nvidia shields with an alternate home screen have been a good solution for me? TV isn’t connected to the network directly, just to the shield.

There are already causes of action for this sort of thing - we do not need to try and come up with something new.
Because lawyers are fucking tech stupid and that’s who will be naming the decisions.
