- Comment on Good to exercise at home instead of gym? 1 week ago:
Look up calisthenics routines on youtube or reddit. The great thing about calisthenics is you almost only need your body weight. That means you can do it pretty much everywhere, even if you travel or move. If you can, I would join a group or maybe seek out a calisthenics class to start, mainly to give you tips & help with form. Long story short, it’s absolutely possible to workout at home, or outside of gym.

Excel is indeed super powerful. I’ve seen firsthand what they power in multiple Fortune 500 companies, and usually for a lot of critical tasks. It doesn’t surprise me in the least that this company was using it for finances.

Several EU countries feature golden visas. Portugal, Malta, for example. As long as you live there for a minimum amount of time.

- Comment on I wonder what my wife thinks when the shampoo bottle starts dispensing again after I put a little water in it. 5 weeks ago:
Comments feel a little harsh. My partner does the same with dishwasher liquid, almost instinctively. I have to keep reminding them that it reduces the efficacy, and eventually will be to a point where you might as well just be using water. The other reason is that if it’s sufficiently diluted, bacteria may start growing.
I think a lot of people grew up with their parents adding water to the bottle to make them last longer, and it just became commonplace. It’s likely you can make that bottle last longer by just using less product in the first place.

I don’t think this is a case of trying to make more money. From what I understood, it’s an unintended consequence of accessibility rules coming into place. Ironically, a law that is meant to promote inclusion, will ultimately make the books less accessible.

- Comment on How did Third World countries handle the Covid Pandemic? 5 months ago:
A lot of countries in South America had very strict rules. Double-mask requirements, mandatory vaccines, stay-at-home days. What they perhaps lacked in access to vaccines, they tried to make up with those stricter rules. They also made deals with China & Russia for their vaccines, in lieu of limited access to Pfizer etc.

Sports jerseys are even worse. You pay a fortune, to wear plastic, and then you have 3-4 sponsors plastered all over the shirt.
