  Literally the only thing i really used on a regular basis from Sec+, is extremely basic PKI (private/public keys). I got it to meet 8570 requirements.

  I learned far more useful skills on the job.

  Vacation would be so nice right now… trying to hoard my PTO to cover my ass in case of bullshit (it pays out if i leave my job). I just want to not think for like, a week. Clean my apartment. Sleep. Un-fuck my sleep schedule a bit. Spend a day actually just gaming instead of gaming + intermittent chores.

  I will admit to being a bit biased here (family member deals with this), but it aint always as simple as “diet and exercise” for everyone. Without careful management of blood sugar, some people just fucking drop from hypoglycemia with almost zero warning, even with implants to monitor it. Juggling medication with insurance and drug shortages, as well as diet, exercise, and blood sugar, is not something i wish on anyone.

  Mostly desktop, at least at home. I have 3 laptops and a desktop at work. Phone is for googling, doomscrolling, music, and light reading.

  I think they’re more likely to just ditch consumer OS’ entirely. Its not their moneymaker anymore, that’d be cloud service subscriptions (O365 and Azure) and enterprise licensing.

  Its such a shit situation. If you want out, you generally need to get a job in another country. A job in a different country generally pays significantly less than the cost of living in most of the USA, so you need to already have a significant amount of money already saved to even consider it an option.

  Most of us are just fucking trapped.
